Director of Regional Accounts - Oncology - South Texas Region 

 

The Regional Account Director, US Oncology will serve as the owner of the cross-functional account plan to generate commercial, product access, and patient care opportunities within defined community, oncology, and urology accounts, IDNs, large and small hospitals and cancer centers, specifically: a) Developing, implementing, and measuring cross-functional account plans that unlock growth opportunities across the US Oncology portfolio (Nubeqa, Xofigo, Vitrakvi, Stivarga) at regionally-focused (< 4 states) IDNs, hospitals, and cancer centers; b) Building appropriate relationships with key account stakeholders to develop understanding of decision-making structure, key influencers, and other strategic objectives relevant to the customer; c) Managing and coordinating account strategy and execution in partnership with field sales, marketing, market access, medical, advocacy, and other internal teams.

 

YOUR TASKS AND RESPONSBILITIES

 

The primary responsibilities of this role, Director of Regional Accounts - Oncology - South Texas, are to:

  • Analyze and synthesize information from multiple sources, including market research reports, performance history, customer investigation, and cross-functional team knowledge to identify and prioritize account opportunities across the full US Oncology portfolio;
  • Collaborate with the cross-functional team to build and implement account solutions and action plans, aligning plans with key internal stakeholders;
  • Mobilize the cross functional team (Sales Leadership, Marketing, Market Access, Medical Affairs, Field Reimbursement, Advocacy, and Nurse Educators) to implement key actions from the account plan;
  • Set account key performance indicators (KPIs) aligned to organizational and brand priorities, monitoring achievement of goals and updating the account plan accordingly;
  • Maximizes account sales opportunities across the entire Bayer Oncology portfolio in accordance with product labeling and Company policies;
  • Strengthens customer relationships by building strategic partnerships for long-term mutual success and delivering integrated value beyond the products;
  • Improves patient and provider experience with Bayer Oncology and its products;
  • Facilitates a high level of collaboration across functions, reinforcing the value of bringing diverse perspectives to develop solutions to meet customer needs;
  • The primary location for this role is Residence-Based in the US.  Candidates residing within this territory or within reasonable commuting distance to the territory are STRONGLY preferred.  This territory includes the following metropolitan areas:
    • Houston, TX
    • Austin, TX
    • San Antonio, TX
    • New Orleans, LA
    • Shreveport, LA
    • Gulfport, MS
    • Southern Arkansas.

Required Qualifications:

  • Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree;
  • Significant and relevant pharma and/or other healthcare-related experience;
  • Experience in pharmaceutical account management in the IDN and/or Hospital channel;
  • Demonstrated skills in business planning, including account planning, problem solving, contracting, and analytics;
  • Demonstrated cross-functional influence, communication, and conflict resolution skills;
  • Deep understanding of customer channels and market dynamics across one or more of the following areas: Oncology (strongly preferred), Rare Disease, Cell and Gene Therapy, Med Device, and/or Cardiovascular;
  • Experience in budget management;
  • Proficient in Power Point and Excel;
  • Business travel by air and car required up to 50%; some weekends required;
  • Must have a valid driver’s license.

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of pharma and/or other healthcare-related experience;
  • 3+ years of experience in pharmaceutical account management in the IDN or Hospital channel;
  • Deep understanding of and experience with customer channels and market dynamics across Oncology therapeutic area.

Employees can expect to be paid a salary between $191,576 to $287,364.  Additional compensation may include a bonus or commission (if relevant).
