YOUR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• General Responsibilities
  • Financial Management: Oversee financial operations, ensuring profitability and efficiency
  • Coordination: Work with other departments to support plant operations through financial analysis and reporting
  • Audit and Support: Analyze and monitor programs, processes, and trends, reporting variances and control issues
  • Capacity Management: Balance machine and personnel capacities with long-term demand
• Standard Cost Calculation
  • Cost Calculation: Calculate standard unit costs for products, including conversion costs and material development
  • Monitoring: Track product life cycle management and ensure timely standard costing for new products
  • Budgeting: Balance the annual budget and communicate COGS changes
• Investments
  • Capital Planning: Coordinate capital investments and develop expenditure plans
• General Administration
  • Support: Provide direction for administrative matters like accounting, payroll, and procurement
• Systems
  • IT Support: Manage local SAP functionalities and ensure compliance with procedures
  • Master Data Management: Ensure timely delivery of master data for various processes
• Compliance and Risks
  • Contract Analysis: Analyze contracts for financial impacts and risks
  • Risk Monitoring: Continuously monitor operational risks
  • Audit Compliance: Ensure compliance with audit and control functions

WHO YOU ARE:

• University Degree in Finance or Accounting preferred
• Financial management or production controlling or in manufacturing/supply chain positions with in-plant operations including cost accounting, budgeting, capital review, and auditing preferred
• Very good controlling knowledge in all technical operations including COGS controlling, DCF calculations, Supply Chain Metrics
• Knowledge of relevant system landscape (SAP, data.one, etc.)
• Fluent in English – reading, writing, speaking and hearing
• Japanese – Japanese-Language Proficiency Test (JLPT)  N2 or above

• Practical Judgement – Evaluate and select alternatives, understand implications of actions
• Decision Making – Recognize important information, consider alternatives, make timely decisions
• Planning & Organizing – Develop short and long-term objectives, effectively use resources
• Teamwork – Work productively with others, seek opportunities to bring people together
