Operations Assistant 

 

POSITION PURPOSE:

 

 

Operations Assistant is responsible for Veg R&D Operations and administrative activities in India and extend support to EMEA. Person on role must follow planned purchases, maintenance of accounts, track of payments, manage allocated budget with rigorously follow compliance policies. Person should Understand and follow business, Trade and compliance, Regulatory, Finance, rules and regulations of organization.

 

 

YOUR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

 

  • Plan & ensure availability of all inputs, timely Procurement of supplies /invoice submissions/ closing of open GR/Advances/ submission of PR & PO / Vendor creations & resource management for Veg R&D
  • PR/PO/Invoice/ Vendor code creation/ processing /Payment in India and extend support to EMEA
  • AR submission, capitalization, asset tagging with location details, asset verification, asset retirement, Asset Record Maintenance, Asset Retirement & Transfer & Asset Auditing
  • Land Lease & Grower Agreements: Lease agreement execution – farmers/vendors (service and quantity based), legal approvals, execution of agreements on stamp papers for all location and updating on CLMS
  • Third party Service Based Agreements: – labour supply, Cab service, Facility service, Security & Vendors etc.,
  • Record maintenance – agreements, Invoices, contracts, farm equipment documents – tractor insurance, trailer insurance
  • Data Requirement: Weekly Ops report, monthly updating cross charge, Accruals, Budget forecast, Labor usage and Attendance details monthly
  • Ensuring timely Payments for Land Lease/ Assets capitalization/Retirement /Verification /Renewal of Lease Agreements for all locations
  • Perform all tasks in a manner compliant with and in support of all safety related company policies and practices, including completing all required Company training courses and attending safety activity.
  • Maintain and build relationships with internal & external stakeholders
  • Coordination with Vendors for supplies to Veg R & D to support breeding programs, labs, office.
  • Ensure continuous improvement in operations by Seeking feedback from all internal and external stakeholders
  • Other tasks assigned by reporting manager

WHO YOU ARE:

 

Eligibility Criteria: Experience Range: 3-5 years in seed industry

Education: Graduate/ Post Graduate Commerce/ Science/Arts/ business management. Experience of working in seed industry will be desirable.

Knowledge & Experience:

  • Experience in finance or administrative role understanding of seed business.
  • Broad knowledge accounting & procurement
  • Good communication and people management skills.
  • Good organizational and time management skills.
  • Good working knowledge of farm requirements
  • Self-starter with strong problem-solving skills.
  • Strong computer skills/ MS Office suite
  • Strong Results orientation, Negotiation skills
  • Good written and oral communication skills

Interpersonal Skills:

  • Ability to work effectively in teams and collaborate across teams
  • Ability to interact with farmers and external stakeholders
