SAP PLM Product Data Analyst
POSITION PURPOSE:
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join Bayer Global Business Services (GBS) team as an SAP PLM Product Data Analyst. In this role, you will be responsible for analysing, structuring, data management and process optimisation of product specifications, recipes for Bayers products (Pharma, Crop Science and Consumer Health products). The role focuses on ensuring accurate and efficient handling of product data within SAP PLM system. Your primary focus will be on enhancing the accuracy and completeness of product data to support our product manufacturing and regulatory compliance efforts. A strong background in SAP product supply data in Life Science, excellent research skills, and proficiency in Excel are essential for success in this position. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including R&D, regulatory, product supply (manufacturing and quality), to ensure accurate data management and compliance with industry standards.
ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Anaylse the portfolio of products manufactured in by product supply site and create plans to extract, cleanse and enrich the product data for readiness to migrate to CORE (SAP PLM)
• Conduct in-depth analysis of finished good recipes and create plans to drive efficient enrichment processes to ensure accuracy, consistency and traceability to meet the industry across
• Defines data quality rules and implement automated monitoring, reporting, and remediation solutions
• Implements and fine-tunes data governance guidelines, policies, processes, and controls
• Review documents, such as product specifications (from divisional systems) and product dossiers, to extract relevant data information.
• Ensures data consistency across multiple systems and business units
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including CORE data team, Sustainability and PDM data enrichment team, product supply and quality, to address data-related inquiries and provide accurate and timely information.
• Identify opportunities for process improvement and contribute to the development and implementation of the best practices for data management practices (data collection, maintenance and usage).
• Develop and implement best practices for data governance following GxP documentation requirements.
• Troubleshoot data-related issues and support system enhancements to improve data management efficiency.
• Provide training and guidance to Bayer cross-functional teams to evangelize best practices for data handling.
• Implements data solutions for data analysis and profiling using a variety of tools such as BODS, Postman, R or Python and following team’s established processes and methodologies.
• Utilizes root cause analysis to identify trends and assess impact of data quality issues
• Supports data migration from legacy systems, data inserts and updates not supported by applications.
• Maintain confidentiality and adhere to data protection protocols throughout the data enrichment process.
WHO YOU ARE:
• Bachelor’s degree in business administration, computer science, engineering, data management or a related field.
• Proven experience working with SAP PLM and ERP, preferably in a consumer health, pharmaceutical or related industry.
• Strong knowledge of specifications, recipes (general and site) for manufacturing.
• Proficiency in reading and understanding technical documents, including product specifications and dossiers.
• Familiarity with regulatory frameworks and guidelines governing recipe management for Consumer Health, Pharmaceutical and Crop Science products.
• Excellent research and analytical skills, with the ability to gather and synthesize information from multiple sources.
• Ability to organize and manipulate data in Microsoft Excel. Querying SQL and/or NoSQL data sources.
• Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy and ability to work independently under minimal supervision.
• Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and present data-driven insights.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize workload to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Familiarity with SAP PLM (Product Lifecycle Management) software is an advantage, but not a mandatory requirement.
