PCOR Research Associate |

Purpose:
The Patient-Centered Outcomes Research Associate (RA) plays a crucial role in supporting scientific coordination and project management related to clinical outcome assessments (COAs, including patient- reported outcomes, PROs) within and beyond the scope of clinical trials. The role involves close collaboration within the P-COR Leads, and project managers, alongside internal cross-functional teams and external partners to ensure the successful execution of patient-centered outcome related initiatives across all therapeutic areas at Bayer.
This position entails engagement in research activities, including the steps to develop or validate patient- reported outcomes, data collection strategies, and supporting in implementing electronic Clinical Outcome Assessments (eCOA). The P-COR RA will work alongside P-COR team members to ensure the successful execution of COA strategies companywide, further contributing to observational validation studies and other related projects.
In close partnership with the P-COR leads, P-COR PM and eCOA PMs, the P-COR RA will utilize his/her operational skills and scientific knowledge to support teams in implementing and managing patient- centered outcomes. The P-COR Research Associate is tasked with operational and research related support and actionable solutions to facilitate effective data collection, analysis, and reporting of COA strategies across all TAs. This position is ideal for someone who is looking to grow in this field, with keen insight and interest into patient outcomes.
Responsabilities:
- Assist in the scientific development and implementation of validation research and study designs focused on patient-centered outcomes (e.g. literature reviews, gap analyses, psych etc.).
- Coordinate communications between internal and external stakeholders including vendors, study teams, and P-COR team members in collaboration with the P-COR PM and Leads.
- Support the coordination of translation, linguistic validation and migration activities to comply with regulatory requirements (e.g., FDA, EMA) and industry standards (ISPOR, C-Path, ISOQOL etc.) for clinical research and eCOA implementation, in close collaboration with P-COR Leads.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders responsible for vendor collaborations, clinical operations, and data management to ensure appropriate eCOA data capture methods and processes are well implemented.
- Support in eCOA implementation and project management related tasks, as needed.
- Collaborate with P-COR Leads to analyze and interpret data to prepare reports, posters or publications.
- Participate in general P-COR ad-hoc related activities and discussions to advance patient focused drug development science in order to advance patient centered outcomes research at Bayer further
Who you are:
- Education: At least a bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences, Public Health, Statisitics or a related field. Master’s degree preferred
- Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience in COAs/eCOAs or PRO validation or project management
- Project management: Strong operational skills and ability to juggle multiple priorities at the same time
- Collaboration: Excellent collaboration and communication skills
- Digital: Experience in electronic COA migrations or implementations is a plus
- External collaboration: High degree of empathy and an inclusive mindset
- Strong ability to self-organize: Collaborate effectively without hierarchical authority and with accountability, pro-active and inclusive mindset, strong display of DSO behaviors
