Role Purpose:

In your Senior Communications Manager role, you’ll actively shape internal and external communication initiatives for Global Business Services – with creative ideas,strategic vision, and a deep understanding of people and messaging.

You’ll bring our topics to life across digital channels, personal interactions, and inspiring formats. As a member of the communications team of GBS Europe and the global GBS capability Change, Communication &
Learning (CCL) you can trust in receiving support along the way of your journey and learning more about communication management, tools and trends.


Key responsabilities and tasks:

  • Lead the strategic communication planning, content creation and storytelling tailored to diverse audiences and formats for GBS topics in Europe by working together with the communication colleagues in Germany and Gdansk
  • Lead the communication activities locally in Barcelona – for functions in a hosted and embedded model within GBS
  • Design and execution of communication initiatives across various channels (BayerNet, Viva Engage, Outlook)
  • Conceptualize, organize, and moderate events such as Dialogue Sessions, Townhalls, and team-building activities – both virtual and face-to-face
  • Coach and mentor the European based GBS communication managers; strategic guidance,skills-building to strengthen writing, storytelling, stakeholder,management, and facilitation
  • Closely collaborate with the Communication team in Iberia based in Spain
  • Drive and support external engagements for GBS Europe in partnership with local leaders in the region. (e.g.SSON Europe, etc.)
  • Identify and drive AI initiatives for communication and support bold, creative Artificial Intelligence idea creation with leaders
  • Engage in Change communication to support transformation processes
  • Take care of stakeholder management and collaborate closely with internal partners and leadership teams
  • Act with End-User in mind,maintaining good communication flow across Capabilities located in Barcelona
  • Act as partner for local Communities and Employees Initiatives 
  • Prepare and conduct the plan for Engagement Activities in line with the European Engagement framework, which are driven and conducted by any of the communities or by the CCL team
  • Contribute in global CCL Design Teams activities
  • Drive and support the first days of local orientation and onboarding for new Barcelona based GBS employees (hosted and embedded) with a good employee experience
  • Participate in our dynamic resource flow and work on As-A-Service Projects (depending on priorities and workload): e.g. Act as a communication / change management project consultant, contributing to Communication / Change Management programs and initiatives tailored to diverse organizational needs

 

Requirements & Skills:

You’re an experienced communications professional with a heart for change and a head full of ideas and you bring:

  •       Minimum 5 up to 10 years of experience in internal communications in an international environment
  •       Expertise with driving communication around AI and creative in using AI and finding AI solutions for Communication
  •       Expertise in change, communication and transformation support creativity and strong writing skills for various formats and audiences
  •       Moderation skills and enthusiasm for interactive formats
  •       Organizational talent and project managementcapabilities 
  •       Digital affinity and experience with tools like Viva Engage, MS Teams, SharePoint
  •       Natural curiosity and a drive to develop new skills and knowledge.
  •       Native or Fluent speaker of Spanish and English
  •       Catalan as a plus
