Senior Innovation Statistician
Summary: Extracts knowledge and insights from high-volume, high-dimensional data to address complex business challenges. Utilizes a variety of data preparation, modeling, analysis, and visualization techniques, including advanced statistical analysis, predictive modeling, and pattern recognition, to create solutions that enhance business performance. Develops statistical programs for production and quality
control of datasets, contributes to statistical analysis plans, and collaborates with external vendors to ensure the integrity of statistical datasets. Employs object-oriented programming to create custom scripts and visualizations, applying innovative mathematical principles to solve scientific and engineering problems and support data-driven decision- making.
Purpose: A Senior Innovation Statistician provides statistical expertise to cross-functional teams, integrating in teams of statisticians and programmers and ensuring the use of appropriate and efficient statistical analysis methods during drug development. This particular position focuses on data insight generation to gain insights from data in real time. The role creates and uses software tools for interactive
data visualization, exploration and inference, and leads cross-functional discussions for the same. The role significantly contributes to generating a deep understanding of clinical trial data during development, submission and/or life-cycle management of Bayer products according to applicable global and regional standards, procedures and regulatory guidelines.
Key Tasks:
• Collaborates with representatives from other functions to plan and conduct data visualization and exploration, execute analyses and report results.
• Develops software applications for interactive data visualization and analysis.
• Leads virtual cross-functional sub-teams within CS&A.
• Implements standard processes for routine analyses.
• Assumes responsibility for the production and accuracy of the statistical analysis and interpretation of the results.
• Works independently on statistical questions and tasks.
• May develop statistical analysis plans for studies (or integrated analyses).

Qualifications:
• PhD or MS in Biostatistics, Statistics, Mathematics, or equivalent
• At least 5 years of experience as statistician with significant time spent in the Pharma, Biotech, or similar sector
• Embrace and role model the flexibility and capabilities of team ownership across diverse cultural environments, in a DSO (Dynamic
Shared Ownership) environment
• Strong communication skills and ability to work both, independently and collaboratively
• Good knowledge of statistical programming languages (including excellent R and R-Shiny skills; SAS is a plus)
• Fluency in English
