Statistician D.I.G 

 

Position Purpose:

Statistician (independently) explores and interprets the study data and presents in the D.I.G-meetings.

 

Scope: Global

 

Major tasks and responsabilities:

familiarizes with the study/project under consideration

collaborates with representatives from the study and project team to plan and execute D.I.G

explores study data, interprets the findings and prepares presentations for the D.I.G meetings

uses dedicated data exploration and visualization apps (e.g. AdEPro, BReasy, DetectoR, DoRiS, elaborator, Megaplots, Subgroup-Explorer, visualAIser, safetygraphics)

leads virtual cross-functional sub-teams within DS&A

 

Value Added:

D.I.G is Bayer’s approach to facilitate the interdisciplinary cooperation between statisticians/statistical analysts and cooperation partners in drug development to achieve a comprehensive and common interpretation of the results of clinical trials in the shortest possible time

The statistician is the executing person of D.I.G

 

Work relations:

 

statisticians and statistical analysts

study team members and/or clinical team members

external collaboration partners

 

Qualifiactions:

PhD or MS in biostatistics, statistics, mathematics or data scientist

career starter or at least two years of experience as statistician with significant time spent in the Pharma, Biotech, or similar sector

strong communication and especially presentation skills

the ability to work both, independently and collaboratively

good knowledge of statistical programming languages (including SAS and R)

fluency in English
