Head Digital Excellence Internal Manufacturing (m/f/d) 

 

As the Head of Digital Excellence in Internal Manufacturing, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and leading the professional domain of "Digital Excellence" by developing capabilities across our global manufacturing sites. Acting as a VACC (Visionary, Architect, Coach, Catalyst), you will lead, mentor, and coach Site Manufacturing IT Leads while fostering a community of knowledge through Chapter and Work Leads. Your role is crucial in accelerating digital transformation in GxP environments as part of the Factory of the Future program, ensuring stable, scalable digital operations and supporting efficient IT system management at the site level, including infrastructure, administration, and cybersecurity. The ultimate goal is to enable top-decile productivity, cost efficiency, and agility through end-to-end digital transformation and talent development based on Dynamic Shared Ownership (DSO) principles.

 

YOUR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

 

  • Lead and manage digital transformation across the internal manufacturing network, aligning with Consumer Health Product Supply and Digital Transformation Strategies;
  • Promote Digital Excellence at sites and enable efficient project execution using site and enterprise resources;
  • Advance workforce upskilling in digital and AI, building communities of expertise to develop site-specific low/no-code solutions;
  • Translate business needs into technical requirements for performance and productivity;
  • Facilitate business process redesign for future-ready, autonomous operations;
  • Increase adoption of Bayer-wide IT technologies and data solutions for enhanced performance;
  • Coordinate priorities with Bayer Enterprise IT and Engineering Automation to support strategic goals;
  • Simplify IT/OT applications for reliable connectivity and efficient architecture, adhering to Bayer standards;
  • Oversee financials for digital investments with Engineering for effective management;
  • Assess Manufacturing Cybersecurity maturity and implement strategies to mitigate risks;
  • Ensure high availability and business continuity of IT applications and co-lead with site leadership Business Continuity Plans.
