Senior Tech Consultant 

YOUR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Design, develop, and maintain digital applications, platforms, and systems to meet business needs and enhance customer (e.g. patients, HCPs) experience, continuously monitor, optimize for better performance and scalability.
• Conduct thorough testing and debugging to ensure the quality, reliability, and security of digital products, strictly follow the financial budget plan.
• Stay updated with industry trends to propose innovative solutions, advance customer engagement.
• Work in accordance to the Bayer Quality Management System and processes for regulated software medical devices.
• Design and implement server-side logic, architecture, and APIs for web applications.
• Build and maintain databases and ensure the security, performance, and scalability of data management systems.
• Collaborate with front-end developers to integrate user-facing elements with server-side logic.
• Optimize applications for maximum speed, scalability, and reliability.
• Write clean, well-documented, and reusable code following best practices in software development.
• Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks, bugs, and other issues in production.
• Participate in code reviews to ensure the quality and security of codebase.
• Work in an agile/scrum environment, contributing to sprints, task breakdowns, and stand-up meetings.

WHO YOU ARE

• 5-8 years relevant experience, 3+ years industry experience, and Healthcare IT background is a big plus.
• A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related technical field.
• Strong understanding of digital product development methodologies and best practices.
• Proficiency in back-end programming languages such as Node.js, Python, Java, Ruby, or Go.
• Strong understanding of databases (SQL, NoSQL) and database design principles.
• Experience with building and integrating RESTful APIs and microservices architecture.
• Familiarity with cloud computing platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and CI/CD pipelines.
• Knowledge of security practices, including data protection and application security.
• Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git).
• Familiarity with browser testing, debugging, and automation tools (e.g., Jest, Mocha, Cypress).
• Ability to work in an agile/scrum development environment.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams.
• Has demonstrated ability to plan and execute projects in a global environment with cross team collaboration.
• Mandarin is mandatory, fluent in English both written and spoken.
