Lab Operational Coordinator 

 

As the Lab Operational Coordinator for Seed Health, you become the linchpin of our testing squads. Your mission is to ensure that test results are delivered on time, clear, and relevant to the market, enabling stakeholders to make informed decisions. You guarantee that the data provided to our customers is accurate, reproducible, and defensible, consistently meeting business expectations. In this role, you transform complex data into actionable insights, driving success for our organization and our clients.

 

YOUR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Onboarding and Training: Ensure onboarding plans and technical training programs are in place for new employees, facilitating efficient training to maintain necessary technical knowledge for testing.
  • Compliance Support: Collaborate with the Compliance Officer to assess the maturity of Lab Technicians, document findings, and address gaps in compliance with lab standards set by NAL and ISTA.
  • Testing Reliability: Work with the Compliance Officer and testing squads to implement proficiency tests and measures that validate the reliability of test data, while managing non-conformities.
  • Issue Resolution: Act as the first point of contact for out-of-spec test results, making decisions on follow-up actions alongside the Senior Lab Tech.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Support the testing squads in adhering to the Bayer code of conduct and ensure compliance with regulatory expectations to secure Freedom to Operate.
  • Continuous Improvement: Assist in executing continuous improvement initiatives and corrective actions, including Management of Change, while reporting quality, ESH, or inclusion issues.
  • Resource Management: Secure necessary resources, including personnel and equipment, to meet internal SLA and business requirements, managing maintenance and replacement requests.
  • Collaboration and Alignment: Collaborate with stakeholders to define capacity needs and technical requirements, prioritize tasks, and ensure alignment between regional and global testing squads.
  • Recruitment: Participate in the recruitment of lab technicians, focusing on headcount and contractor needs.

 

WHO YOU ARE

  • Bachelor’s, Master’s, or Ph.D. in Life Sciences, preferably with experience in seed physiology.
  • Genuine care for stakeholders and team members, fostering positive relationships.
  • Continuous improvement and proactive in identifying opportunities for efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Experience in cross-functional teams, cooperating to achieve shared goals.
  • Focused on delivering outcomes while being mindful of costs.
  • Strong communication and influencing skills to engage stakeholders.
  • Proficient in SAP and other computer applications for enhanced productivity.
