Analyst II QC Potency - Berkeley, CA

 

As an Analyst II QC Potency, you will perform analytical laboratory testing on intermediates, final containers, and stability samples. Your role is crucial in contributing to department improvement projects related to release goals. You will also perform routine maintenance of laboratory equipment, archive data, and review test results to ensure the highest quality standards are met.

 

YOUR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Perform analytical testing to support the release, stability, and in-process testing of samples or final products to ensure quality for production or commercial use;
  • Report abnormalities and oversee the discard of expired materials;
  • Document test results legibly and complete technical writing for data analysis;
  • Review Quality Control documents and LIMS data, evaluate data, and interpret trends;
  • Contribute to the development, revision, application, maintenance, validation, and review of quality standards, drafting SOPs, and methods for processing and ensuring quality in intermediate or finished products;
  • Initiate Discrepancy events;
  • Perform assay training;
  • Address questions during regulatory compliance audits and support inspection-related needs as required.

 

WHO YOU ARE:

Bayer seeks an incumbent who possesses the following:

 

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in science or a technical field;
  • BS with 4+ years of industry experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience;
  • Experience with a cGMP and global regulatory compliance organization;
  • Experience with ELISA methods, SDS-PAGE, gel electrophoresis, and/or bioassay;
  • Strong computer and communication skills;
  • Experience with equipment and analytical and/or biological method validation laboratory execution.

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with Bayer products and manufacturing processes is highly desirable;
  • Ability to multi-task and adapt to changing business requirements in a dynamic corporate environment.

 

Shift hours: 12:00 AM – 8:30 AM, Monday through Friday.

Candidates must be flexible to support business needs, including occasional weekend work when required to meet operational timelines.

 

Employees can expect to be paid a salary between $77,760.00 to $116,640.00.  Additional compensation may include a bonus or commission (if relevant).  Additional benefits include health care, vision, dental, retirement, PTO, sick leave, etc.

This salary range is merely an estimate and may vary based on an applicant’s location, market data/ranges, an applicant’s skills and prior relevant experience, certain degrees and certifications, and other relevant factors.
