Maintenance Electrician
As a Maintenance Electrician, you will be responsible for performing electrical repair, installation, and troubleshooting of equipment to minimize impact on site facilities. You will ensure compliance with National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) 70E requirements, cGMP, and the company’s safety, environmental, and operational policies.
YOUR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The primary responsibilities of this role are to:

Perform scheduled predictive and preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, and project support for all site electrical equipment and components, including motor control centers, lighting, and variable frequency drives.

Maintain daily work schedules, record data, and report on work orders.

Assess the accuracy of electrical procedures (SOPs) and provide constructive feedback to document owners.

Support and comply with Bayer Berkeley's health, safety, and environmental protection initiatives. Participate in safety meetings and report any non-conforming conditions to relevant personnel.

Communicate effectively with all departments to schedule and follow up on maintenance activities.
WHO YOU ARE
Bayer seeks an incumbent who possesses the following:
Required Qualifications:
-
High school diploma or GED required, with a minimum of three (3) years of experience in electrical maintenance; or completion of a technical school/accredited 2-year program plus at least one (1) year of field experience.

Proven experience diagnosing and troubleshooting electrical systems and controls.
-
Technical working knowledge of industrial electrical equipment, and experience reading and modifying P & ID schematics.
-
Technical working knowledge of industrial electrical equipment.
-
Troubleshoot and maintain electrical systems and components.
-
Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance.
-
Interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and electrical diagrams.
-
Collaborate with engineering teams to implement system improvements.
-
Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations.
-
Proficient in using multimeters to check AC/DC voltages, amperage meters on AC/DC circuits, and performing meggering of AC/DC motors.
Preferred Qualifications:
-
Previous experience working in the construction or building trades industry with a focus on electrical installations that will include running and banding conduits.

Knowledge or understanding of the National Electrical Code
Shift Work: Swing shift (subject to change)
Days: Monday – Friday
Hours: 2pm – 12:30am
The current work schedule may adjust in the future to accommodate a full calendar week. To restructure shift work from Monday – Friday into Wednesday – Saturday, or Sunday – Wednesday schedules.
Employees can expect to be paid an hourly rate of approximately $48.66 with a swing-shift differential of $2.25. Additional compensation may include a bonus or commission (if relevant). Additional benefits include health care, vision, dental, retirement, PTO, sick leave, etc..
