Maintenance Mechanic B, Boiler Utility Operator

As a Maintenance Technician, you play a crucial role in ensuring the continuous operation of our plant by repairing, maintaining and operating equipment. You are responsible for conducting preventive maintenance in a timely manner, contributing to the overall efficiency and safety of our operations. Your expertise in troubleshooting and repairing equipment is essential to our success, and your commitment to safety and compliance is highly valued.

YOUR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The primary responsibilities of this role are to:

  • Troubleshoot and repair plant equipment;
  • Perform preventive and predictive maintenance tasks according to schedule;
  • Execute PM plans using SAP information;
  • Complete corrective maintenance jobs during shift time;
  •  Maintain records and reports related to maintenance activities;
  • Ensure compliance with HES policy, finishing maintenance jobs under safe conditions;
  • Conduct patrols and report abnormal findings;
  • Prepare maintenance activity reports and submit them to your supervisor after finishing each activity;
  • Use and maintain all tools in proper condition.

WHO YOU ARE

Bayer seeks an incumbent who possesses the following:

Required Qualifications

  •       Requires high school diploma, or GED plus minimum of three (3) years of industrial maintenance experience. Or completion of technical school / accredited 2-year program AND minimum one (1) year of experience.
  • Proven experience operating and maintaining medium pressure steam boilers in a production environment.
  •  Proficient knowledge of purified water generation for cGMP qualified systems.
  • Ability to read basic mechanical drawings or piping to identify, troubleshoot, and maintain all issues.
  • Experience operating in commercial manufacturing environment, preferred.

  • Strong attention to detail.
  •   Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills.

This role includes shift work based on one the following schedule(s):

Days: Saturday Evening - Wednesday Morning

Hours: 11pm – 9:00am

OR 

Days: Tuesday Evening - Saturday Morning

Hours: 11pm – 9:00am 

Employees can expect to be paid a salary of approximately $48.66. Additional compensation may include a bonus or commission (if relevant).  Additional benefits include health care, vision, dental, retirement, PTO, sick leave, etc..  This salary (or salary range) is merely an estimate and may vary based on an applicant’s location, market data/ranges, an applicant’s skills and prior relevant experience, certain degrees and certifications, and other relevant factors.
