Senior Pipeline Planning Manager 

 
   
   

YOUR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

 

The primary responsibilities of this role, Senior Pipeline Planning Manager, are to: 

 

  • Generate and oversee all aspects of an optimal final product and API supply plan to ensure appropriate balance of resources, cost and inventory;
  • Drive, in partnership with Quality and Operations, solutions of production, release issues and assist in the closure of outstanding investigations to support supply plan;
  • Support the Sales and Operations Planning process through active contribution and preparation of a Supply Plan, capacity, and utilization assessments;
  • Identify and generate relevant Key Performance Improvement (KPI) metrics for each step of the process;
  • Sponsor, lead and/or represent supply chain on supply center and supply chain excellence project teams, these projects may support global supply chain or Bayer HealthCare initiatives;
  • Recommend optimal lot size and aggregation strategies, ensure integrity of planning master data driving a balance between inventories, utilization, and efficiencies;
  • Prepare final product or API rolling forecasts, monthly KPI reports for shipment or release reliability, investment in inventory and obsolete inventory, with explanations for variances;
  • Identify opportunities to improve service, cost and quality and put ideas into action;
  • Recommend and implement mitigation steps if results are expected to deviate from plan;
  • Ensure compliance with all supply agreements and Bayer Internal Control Systems;
  • Support all internal and external audit requirements;
  • Serve as back up to the Director of Supply Chain at the twice weekly PSS tier 1 meeting, monthly Product Supply Brand Review rFVIII meeting, monthly Global rFVIII S&OP Pre-Executive meeting and monthly Global Integrated Business Planning IBP) Executive meeting.

Required Qualifications:

 

  • Bachelor’s degree or APICS certification and Associate's degree with at least 10 years of experience in operations or supply chain, or an equivalent combination of education and experience;
  • Pharmaceutical/Biotech industry experience in a Good Manufacturing Practice (cGMP), regulated environment;
  • Excellent analytical and conceptual thinking skills providing a solid foundation to impact and influence outcomes;
  • Have demonstrated problem solving skills;
  • Have excellent knowledge of planning systems and spreadsheet manipulation;
  • In-depth knowledge of production planning in SAP’s ECC application and demand planning using SAP’s APO modules;
  • Ability to shift priorities and effectively perform under pressure;
  • Demonstrated strong leadership capabilities.

 

Preferred Qualifications:

 

  • Degree in Business, Finance/Economics, Engineering or Supply Chain;
  • Graduate degree.
