Global Medical & Evidence Strategy Lead (all genders) 

 

As the Global Medical & Evidence Strategy Lead (all genders), you will represent Global Medical & Evidence (GM&E) on a Product Team, playing a vital role in developing and executing the medical and evidence strategy. Your primary aim is to ensure optimal market positioning for product launch, supported by compelling evidence that enhances patient outcomes and maximizes asset value.

 

You will collaborate closely with the Product Team, including leaders from Marketing and R&D, to guide the asset strategy through a world-class medical affairs and evidence generation approach. Your responsibilities include creating and implementing the GM&E plan, which significantly impacts product outcomes. Success in this role requires strong VACC leadership skills, an enterprise mindset, and exceptional relationship management abilities, as you contribute to the broader Medical & Evidence Leadership Team.

 

YOUR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

 

  • Lead Strategy Development: Spearhead the creation of integrated medical affairs and evidence generation strategies, providing insightful market analysis and stakeholder perspectives
  • Unified Vision: Represent a consolidated GM&E viewpoint to guide strategic decision-making and execution of global medical affairs and evidence generation initiatives
  • Inspire and Guide: Employ your leadership as a Visionary, Architect, Catalyst, and Coach (VACC) to define and optimize asset differentiation and positioning
  • Foster Collaboration: Direct subteams within the Product Team, collaborating effectively with colleagues to shape outcomes and drive mission success
  • Integrate Local Insights: Liaise with the Chief Medical Office to consolidate country-specific medical affairs input, ensuring alignment in local strategies
  • Promote Transparency: Ensure seamless communication across the Product Team and with all medical and evidence stakeholders, fostering a solution-oriented mindset
  • Innovative Solutions: Transform business challenges into evidence-backed strategies using both traditional and innovative methods
  • Analyze Results: Contribute to the interpretation of findings from Clinical Development studies and observational research to inform strategic decisions
  • Develop Evidence Plans: Ensure that the integrated evidence plan addresses key medical discussion topics while prioritizing high-value research questions
  • Engage Thought Leaders: Plan and manage medical education and scientific symposia, while cultivating strategic relationships with global and regional thought leaders

 

WHO YOU ARE

 

  • Qualified Professional: You hold a Medical Doctor or advanced degree in Life Sciences, with preference given to fellowship training in Heart Failure, Nephrology, or Neurology
  • Experienced Leader: You possess extensive experience in Clinical Development, Medical Affairs, or Evidence Generation within a global healthcare organization
  • Domain Expert: You have a deep understanding of cardiometabolic diseases and therapeutic areas, along with comprehensive knowledge of the drug development process
  • Strategic Thinker: Your strategic mindset encompasses a holistic understanding of business, financial domains, and medical and evidence functions
  • Relationship Builder: You excel in senior stakeholder management and have a proven ability to cultivate strong internal and external relationships
  • Adaptable Innovator: You are highly agile in learning, adapting to changes in product indications, and actively upskilling in relevant fields
  • Accountability-Oriented: You maintain a strong internal sense of accountability and continuously strive for personal and professional growth
