Intern (all genders) in AI Agent Development/Natural Language Processing (NLP) 

YOUR TASKS AND EDUCATIONAL OBJECTIVES

• Work with experienced data scientists/applied researchers within a cross-divisional team on developing advanced AI-powered reasoning agent designed to unify and leverage Bayer's wealth of scattered knowledge for decision making
• Research, implement, and integrate state-of-the-art AI agent architectures and reasoning frameworks
• Develop methods for connecting AI systems to internal knowledge bases, tools, and structured/unstructured data sources (internal and external)
• Support the creation of specialized AI workflows for use cases like target prioritization, safety assessments, and dossier generation
• Implement natural language interfaces that enable intuitive human-AI collaboration
• Write clean, well-documented Python code, contribute to open-source code, and participate in system architecture design
• Communicate your results clearly and rigorously across multidisciplinary teams, including scientific publications

WHO YOU ARE

• Enrolled Master student (all genders) in computer science, data science, physics, math, or similar
• Good understanding of machine learning algorithms, especially large language models
• Expertise and extensive hands-on experience in Python programming (LangChain, Transformers, or similar frameworks are a plus)
• First experience in developing and applying machine learning, ideally using NLP methods
• Ability to solve complex problems via creative solutions, open minded and ready to embrace new ideas
• Organized, focused, and with a high degree of commitment, independence, and time management
• Passionate about applying AI to make an impact across pharma
• Fluent in English, both verbal and written
