RWE Policy & Partnerships Senior Manager (m/f/d) 

 

As the Real-World Evidence (RWE) Policy and Partnerships Senior Manager you play an essential role in advancing the use and consideration of RWD/E methods, tools, and technologies within Bayer and by regulatory agencies, and health technology assessment bodies. You are part of a passionate team of policy, pharmaco-epidemiological, and methodological experts that form the RWE Centre of Excellence (RWE CoE).  A curious and strategic team player with expertise in real-world data and evidence, you collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to identify and foster partnerships with innovators, conduct demonstration projects, shape the RWD/E environment, and facilitate customer perspectives being integrated into evidence planning.

 

 

YOUR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

 

 

  • Contribute to the development of partnership strategies for the RWE CoE across all therapeutic areas, including long-term strategic partnerships, novel methods, analytics platforms, and quality standards
  • Support the identification, development, and maintenance of partnerships to advance disease understanding, validate new treatment endpoints, and foster scientific advances through data and insights exchange
  • Promote scientific collaborations with external data owners, methods experts, and access gatekeepers, driving developments in real-world data and evidence with key internal stakeholders
  • Contribute to external forums, networks, consortia, and professional groups representing Bayer’s views on the development of guidelines, recommendations, and quality standards, advancing integrated evidence generation approaches
  • Establish regular interactions and a network with Bayer stakeholders to drive external partnerships and private-public collaborations relevant to real-world evidence
  • Lead the development of position papers, policies, publications, and strategies on evidence generation in close partnership with other Bayer groups
  • Identify, develop, and lead or contribute to demonstration projects that advance the field of real-world data and evidence

 

 

WHO YOU ARE

 

 

  • Medical and/or Life Sciences university degree with postgraduate training (Master and/or PhD) in disciplines such as Health Economics, Outcomes Research, Epidemiology, Statistics, Public Health, Data Sciences, Biomedical Sciences, or equivalent
  • Long-term experience in real-world evidence generation, including several years in industry, academic organizations, regulatory agencies, health technology assessment bodies, or public health institutions with strong industry links
  • Deep understanding of the drug development process and life cycle management, with a successful track record in evidence generation projects
  • Expertise in clinical-epidemiological studies, evidence generation activities, medical benefit-risk, and value assessments, with the ability to interact with internal and external experts and leaders
  • Recognized as an industry subject matter expert with an established network and credibility in driving partnerships involving advanced methodologies, large data sources, and analytical tools
  • Experience in scouting, initiating, establishing, and managing partnerships
  • Strong understanding of regulatory and access policy related to real-world data and evidence
  • Collaborative team player with the ability to engage leaders across diverse disciplines, functions, cultures, and geographies, and documented success in influencing and participating in teams
  • Strong project management skills, results-driven, adaptable, and able to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
  • English fluent; verbally and in writing
