Software Engineer (m/f/d) - in full- or part-time

As Global Discovery and Lab Platform of Digital Transformation and IT Crop Science we drive discovery, advance new technology, and ensure safety for consumers and the environment. We improve the existing portfolio and create new products which support critical global discovery and regulatory processes in Crop Science R&D. As Software Engineer (m/f/d) you will will be working in an autonomous interdisciplinary team of 4-5 developers. You will shape your tech stack and the products your team owns, share knowledge within and outside your team and evolve the ways of working in your team. You will help your colleagues and your team to become better and succeed as a team.




  • You develop and continuously improve and deliver software products that are directly related to our business objectives
  • You contribute to the optimization of our current tech stack of JavaScript, TypeScript, NodeJS, GraphQL, REST, React, Postgres, document db, DynamoDB, Amazon Web Services - Serverless Services
  • You leverage cloud infrastructure to provide your product as a reliable, performant and well managed service
  • You identify shortcomings in technical architectures and technical debt and develop solutions to make your product better
  • You make use of agile principles as well as DevOps methodology to deliver your products in a timely manner
  • You see programming as a craft and apply principles from Clean Code
  • You use tools that help you make your code robust, secure and maintainable
  • You are eager to learn new things and share your findings within your team and our organization
  • You participate in code reviews, pair and mob programming sessions and apply these to not only make your product better but also your team more resilient



  • University degree in computer science or natural science or equivalent work experience
  • First of experience in solving technical challenges in one or more of the roles Software Engineering (Full-Stack / Frontend / Backend), Cloud Engineering, Data Engineering, Security Engineering, DevOps Engineering
  • You have experience in one or more of the areas Single page web application development, Cloud based continuous delivery and environment management, Mobile application development, Micro-service design and development, Large, distributed system development, Software security
  • You have practical experience in modern programming languages and frameworks
  • You have experience in agile software development
  • You are able to motivate, consider innovative approaches and to be agile in a changing environment
  • You are an eager learner (m/f/d) and enjoy collaborating with colleagues from different backgrounds
  • You are fluent in English, both written and spoken, German is a plus




The job profile Software Engineer (m/f/d) is advertised for Monheim, Berlin and Frankfurt. This position can be filled both full-time and part-time.
