TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

 

  • Sets direction and establishes an End-to-End Portfolio strategy to drive results for the division with a consumer focus.
  • Responsible for bringing systems and process transparency to the pipeline to drive strategic decisions with the appropriate decision makers within the global and local functions.
  • Accountable for driving monthly standard reporting of brand per communication protocol and accountable for driving details capacity planning assessments and discussions to build in supply flexibility as needed for assigned brands.
  • Responsible for establishing portfolio segmentation and inventory optimization strategy.
  • Accountable for converting Demand Planning forecast into inventory /Production requirements for internal & external suppliers.
  • Proactively identifies opportunities for improvement and reduction potential for non-value-added materials o Focuses on risk-based approach to reduce risk within assigned portfolio.
  • Accountable for managing the overall inventory performance for assigned business.
  • Inventory management and managing the required planning process of goods (portfolio assigned) to ensure their availability according to the Supply Agreements established with Bayer Supply Centers, Other Supply Centers, Domestic Suppliers and Subcontracting Suppliers to ensure that stocks meet demand, avoiding Out of Stocks and Scrapping (or write-off).
  • Plan and monitor import logistics of products from assigned portfolio, keeping in mind documentation, customs and logistics processes, quality inspections; support accounting and Finance regarding expenses for proper inventory valuation, cash flow and payment agreements for Bayer supply centers and domestic suppliers.
  • Review changes with the supplying units and challenge the inventory levels to ensure stock meets demand.
  • Develop collaborative relationships with Account & Brand Managers, as well as key customers to drive improvements in account level forecast accuracy, particularly around promotions and product introduction.
  • Perform plausibility check for all forecast and all stock level information that is being reported and provide accurate and timely reporting within the team and to the business.
  • Production Planning, including detailed scheduling (Promotional packs or tolling process according to the BU). Using 36 months as a horizon, updating to reflect marketing activities, bonus products, and others.
  • Acts as main communication focal point and escalation point for all supply related topics within Regional PS and Local Commercial Operations.
  • Proactively identifies and resolves capacity constraints as needed for assigned manufacturing locations and proactively highlights and communicates potential product supply risks.
  • Proactively communicates significant demand and supply trend shifts to Sr. Management and the relevant supply center(s).
  • Supports New Product Project /launches initiatives including New Product Introductions, Packaging Change Implementations (artwork updates, count-size changes, etc.), Formulation changes of Product discontinuations and Manufacturing Site Transfers.
  • Manages all repackaging activities through 3rd Party co-packers (Multipacks, Bonus Packs, IRC Programs, Customer Specific UPC’s and all other product customizations).
  • Organizes ad hoc evaluations of short-term supply opportunities and issues with Demand Planning, the Pipeline Managers at the supply center(s), and other stakeholders as needed
  • Identifies and supports process improvement activities/projects.
  • Provides leadership and prioritization to direct reports and business leaders, ensuring team maintains relevant SAP master data, attends and actively participates in relevant S&OP business meetings, supports project teams for new product launches and assures launch timing, quantities available per project plan, supply chain reporting: prepares high level supply status updates and monthly highlights and lowlights; prepare monthly reports on supply chain performance vs. key metrics and brand reviews regularly.
  • Review historical sales trends, research demand drivers, and evaluate forecast results to generate monthly baseline / top-down demand forecasts (operational forecasts) at multiple levels of aggregation.
  • Lead the monthly Demand Forecast Meeting to reconcile significant variances and achieve consensus for the refined Operational Demand Forecast reflecting updated sales and marketing assumptions.
  • Develop analytical capabilities in the local team and lead in depth analysis of cross-functional KPIs, driving root cause identification and development of solutions to address systemic issues, define cross-functional actions striving for continuous improvement.
  • Work with all stakeholders to ensure that product promotions, marketing plans, sales plans, product launches and product phase-out plans for all product lines are properly addressed in the S&OP process and reflected in the demand forecast.
  • Ensure the 12-month consensus demand rolling forecast at SKU level and the long term (36-60 month) aggregated forecast for strategic exercises (Straco, Budget, etc.) including seasonality is provided on a timely basis in execution of the S&OP and annually planning exercises.
  • Develop collaborative relationships with Account & Brand Managers, as well as key customers to drive improvements in accountable forecast accuracy particularly around promotions and product introduction.
  • Provide input to the Supply Planning organization (PS, procurement, etc.) in developing inventory strategies on existing items, new products, and product phase-outs.
  • Collaborates with Supply Chain Management to understand potential gaps in supply or potential obsolescence and develops management strategies with the commercial organization.
  • Negotiate, challenge and monitor Supply Parameter Agreements (ABC classification, lead times, safety stock levels, etc.).
  • Drive Sales & Operations Process by moving towards a commercial driven mindset in order to both drive Sales and realize cost savings.
  • Secure appropriate data visibility and consolidate and present executive summary for the country leadership team identifying issues and/or opportunities and providing corrective actions and recommendations on how to balance Supply and Demand.
  • Analyze and present a monthly performance update: balanced view through KPIs and dashboards (Potential Lost Sales, FA, Obsolescence, Inventory levels, etc.) and propose cross-functional tasks to prevent or correct issues. Identify and recommend improvement processes.
  • Represent the country to the regional level S&OP meetings, providing visibility of performance, actions, and challenges in the local market and escalating issues as necessary for resolution.
  • Responsible for ensuring local alignment to regional initiatives and integration into overall management platform.
  • Participate in the planning process of product launches, new territories, new channels, tenders, etc. to estimate and adjust the demand and to secure stock availability by engaging in the supply strategy definition.
  • Is the country representative to the Regional S&OP meeting, the S&OP global and regional communities and to any other supply chain initiative.

 

WHO YOU ARE

  • Engineering, Business Administration, Supply Chain Management or equivalent.
  • MBA or Project Management Post-graduate studies / Preferred.
  • At least 5 years of experience as Leader of others.
  • 3 Years of experience in S&OP area for consumer goods, Sales, Marketing, Customer Relationship Management, or similar positions with emphasis in customer service and logistics.
  • Advanced English level is required.
  • Understanding of AI tools.
  • Advance Microsoft package (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and knowledge of SAP (APO / GIM) and OMP is required.
  • High level of business acumen and knowledge of business operations, cross-functional roles & contributions to overall success of the business.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, dispute management skills, problem solving skills and effective communication skills.
