Operations Specialist 

 

YOUR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

 

The primary responsibilities of this role, Operations Specialist, are to: 

 

  • Organize laboratory supply chain including collecting and placing of consumable ordering, including performance of receipt of goods;
  • Be responsible for operations tasks in day2day business with external partners such as contract initiation and management using internal platforms, invoice management, compliance checks, problem solving, deliveries;
  • Organize and support project team with internal cost center planning, including submission of new equipment requests from CapEx;
  • Act as liaison for PMO to implement contracting (including use and submissions via CLMS) and procurement policies, which would include coordinate necessary team trainings;
  • Assist Lab Manager when required to monitor contractual obligations with BRIC site core service providers, serve as a key contact person for inquiries;
  • Work closely with compound shipments coordinator on-site to ensure business continuity between DDS and PMO;
  • Assist with organization and administration of laboratory facility related documentation, including HSE SOPs and inspections (works closely with Lab Manager as well as designated safety officers).

Required Qualifications:

 

  • Experience in Pharma/research and development;
  • Drug Discovery environment/research facility operations expertise, including ability to manage projects and work in a multidisciplinary context and to work with external partners.
  • Good understanding of financial, budgeting and resource planning processes and tools within R&D;
  • Ability to synthesize information from multiple sources, perform data-driven analyses, continuously striving to reduce complexity and to improve efficiency;
  • Pro-active and solution oriented;
  • Ability to build relationships in cross-functional teams;
  • Communication skills;
  • Intercultural skills and team orientation;
  • Fluency in English, German proficiency seen as beneficial;
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft suite of Software (Word, Excel) and relevant software for project related work, such as SAP CoPlanner etc.

 

 

Preferred Requirment:

  • Bachelor’s degree.
