YOUR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The primary responsibilities of the Principal Scientist - Multi-Omics are to:
- Develop and implement innovative research strategies that align with and support pipeline projects, ensuring impactful contributions to drug development and translational science.
- Propose and justify the directions of multi-omics research by prototyping, designing, optimizing, and executing experiments across proteomics, metabolomics, and lipidomics focusing on translation to clinical applications.
- Oversee end-to-end sample preparation, processing, data generation and data processing pipeline for complex biological samples, such as blood and urine, to ensure high-quality data for biomarkers and novel drug targets.
- Collaborate closely with pharmacologists, biologists, clinical leads, computational biologists across multiple locations worldwide
- Translate complex data into meaningful biological insights, significantly contributing to drug target discovery, biomarker translation, disease understanding, and elucidation of drug modes of action.
- Summarize and present results effectively to project team members and collaborators, fostering an environment of knowledge sharing and innovation. Mentor junior scientists to guide their professional development and research efforts.
WHO YOU ARE
Required Qualifications:
- You hold a PhD in relevant fields such as chemistry, biochemistry, or biology
- You have significant post-graduate experience in industrial environment of multi-omics data generation.
- Your expertise is demonstrated through a significant track record of publications, patents and presentations at scientific meetings, supported by excellent written and oral communication skills.
- You have proven experience in leading and completing complex scientific projects independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary environment.
- You possess advanced skills and deep, hands-on experience in high-resolution LC-MS and MS analysis, covering metabolomics, lipidomics, and proteomics, with specialized expertise in sample preparation for complex matrices, particularly blood and urine.
- Driven by curiosity, advanced science, and innovation, you deploy a strong analytical, investigative, and solution-oriented mindset.
- You have a passion for collaborating, mentoring and developing scientists, fostering growth and contributing to the overall success of the team
Preferred Qualifications:
- 5+ years of post-graduate experience in industrial environment of multi-omics data generation.
Employees can expect to be paid a salary between $136,000.00 - $204,000.00 Additional compensation may include a bonus or commission (if relevant). Additional benefits include healthcare, vision, dental, retirement, PTO, sick leave, etc.
This salary range is merely an estimate and may vary based on an applicant’s location, market data/ranges, skills, prior relevant experience, certain degrees and certifications, and other relevant factors.
