TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Provide personnel, expertise and the management system framework to perform HSE expert support of the production site for the seed R&D hub. Including but not limited to local HSE Management System setup, Safety Assessments, Management of local governmental processes regarding HSE aspects and HSE performance reporting (e.g. BAYSIS, Intelex).
• Assist with HSE compliance training and inspect processing areas, offices and field operations to ensure compliance with occupational safety, environment and health standards.
• Establish operational objectives, giving structure to local HSE program implementation and task execution.
• Monitor performance and effectiveness of HSE programs and local HSE management systems, which are in place to ensure compliance.
• Analyze HSE data and advise on appropriate measures to prevent new or recurring accidents.
• Promote the use of region safety trend analysis and direct the proper use of root cause incident investigations and site inspections of operational procedures, facility design, equipment and materials.
• Create, coordinate and maintain processes on HSE administration for external certifications (e.g.: ISO 14001, ISO 45001, Responsible Care, etc.).
• Prepare and facilitate HSE Management Reviews, internal HSE audits and support the continuous HSE improvement cycle.
• Coordinate human rights programs and strategies for the site. Actively participate in the development and execution of the Global Row Crops/ R&D HSE implementation strategy.
• Operates in a cost-effective way and define priorities and approve HSE reviews, Capital Projects and OPAs as appropriate.

WHO YOU ARE

• University degree or higher in HSE (minimum legal requirement to practice in Occupational Health offices).
• At least 3 years of professional business experiences with growing responsibilities.
• Fluent English, written and verbal (C1).
• Valid Drivers’ License B1.
• Advanced knowledge of IT (Internet, Excel, PPT, Word, facilities with systems).
• Proven communication and influencing skills.
• Flexible schedule availability.
• Knowledge and experience in hazard recognition, BBS, hot work permits, and confined space permits.
• Lean and Six Sigma degree. (Desired).
• At least 3 years of experience on construction projects, agricultural companies (Desired).
