Operations Coordinator
Operations Coordinator - Soy Central East Centralia
Provides secretarial and administrative support to nonexecutive employees, small teams, and departments, playing a crucial role in supporting site production operations and driving strategic and operational effectiveness; In this role, you partner with stakeholders at various levels of the organization, build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external partners, and help ensure smooth day-to-day operations across HSE, grower accounting, field and plant operations, HR, accounts payable, procurement, and other areas defined by leadership; You prepare and edit high-quality correspondence, reports, presentations, agendas, and minutes, manage data entry and document filing, and coordinate meetings, calendars, and travel arrangements to keep the site running efficiently;
YOUR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The primary responsibilities of this role, Operations Coordinator – Soy Central East (Centralia), are to:
- Provide secretarial and administrative support to nonexecutive employees, small teams, and departments, including preparing, editing, proofreading, and formatting correspondence, reports, presentations, agendas, and minutes using business software applications;
- Perform data entry and manage paper and electronic document filing and archiving, maintaining accurate records, files, and calendars for efficient organization;
- Schedule and coordinate meetings, diaries, and travel arrangements, and receive, screen, and relay telephone messages from internal and external sources;
- Assist staff in operational activities across your delegated area of expertise, including HSE, grower accounting, field operations, plant operations, human resources, accounts payable, procurement, and other areas defined by leadership;
- Participate in community outreach events representing the site and support site initiatives and Production System improvements;
- Enter and validate information in computer and data systems, support Production Orders and inventory management, and perform SAP data entry, including maintaining contract and grower vendor data and supporting inbound/outbound trucking fleet during Harvest operations;
- Assist with onboarding and offboarding of site employees, follow and communicate payroll policies, perform audits to ensure compliance, and support the site expense management program by helping employees complete expense reports;
- Understand the site accounts payable process, review and process freight payments and bulk shipments, schedule deliveries with some supervision, and complete payments to vendors to support smooth financial operations.
- Assist with payroll management, such as documenting exceptions, validation of time entered ADP and checking information.
WHO YOU ARE
Bayer seeks an incumbent who possesses the following:
- High School Diploma or GED.
Preferred Qualifications:
- 3 years of relevant experience, or an AA/BS degree with no relevant experience;
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
- Strong organization and prioritization skills with high attention to detail;
- Understanding of manufacturing and/or a strong desire to learn agriculture operations;
- Strong customer focus and ability to build effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders;
- Ability to rapidly connect and analyze data and to communicate complex analytical insights in a precise and actionable manner;
- Proficiency with business software applications and willingness to learn systems such as SAP and other site-specific tools.

Employees can expect to be paid a salary between $42,880.00 - $64,320.00. Additional compensation may include a bonus or commission (if relevant). Additional benefits include health care, vision, dental, retirement, PTO, sick leave, etc. This salary range is merely an estimate and may vary based on an applicant’s location, market data/ranges, an applicant’s skills and prior relevant experience, certain degrees and certifications, and other relevant factors.
