Cell based Assay Dev Co Op Sci & Imag 

 
   
   

YOUR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

 

The primary responsibilities of this role are to: 

  • Optimize and test of parameters relevant to cell-based transformation;
  • Adapt cell-based assay protocols to expanded capabilities;
  • Optimization and testing of additional tissue transformation protocols to support CSI partnerships;
  • Apply quantitative analysis approaches to interpret results;
  • Understand and apply statistical measures to determine assay quality;
  • Collaborate with scientists to understand experimental workflows and data handling practices;
  • Document protocols in detail for all workflows and ensure knowledge transfer to CSI team members;
  • Collaborate with CSI team members and other Bayer stakeholders to deliver results;
  • Comply with all safety, stewardship, and IT/information security policies and regulations.

 

WHO YOU ARE

Bayer seeks an incumbent who possesses the following:

 

Required Qualifications:

  • Master's or PhD in progress, in plant biology, reproductive biology, cell biology, transient assays or a related field;
  • Proficient in cell biology laboratory practices, including cell/tissue culture and/or protoplast isolation as well as sterilization best practices
  • Demonstrated experience in systems optimization and testing conditions;
  • Basic data/statistical analysis skills;
  • Demonstrated problem-solving and innovation skills and commitment to safety;
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
