JOB MAIN PURPOSE:

 This position acts as a Finance Business Partner for CS and assists the Head of Finance CS and local commercial team in planning, reporting and steering of the P&L and cash/credit within the country. This business partner should have strong business acumen and be able to build relationships with the local commercial team and external customers of Bayer.

YOUR ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Support all Controlling activities for Crop Science in establishing and monitoring of financial performance targets as well as identifying opportunities to improve financial performance and developing measures & recommendations for continuous improvements.
• To ensure effective financial business steering and resource allocation in line with division’s strategic objectives by providing accurate & meaningful info/analysis for planning and decision making of respective stakeholders.
• Prepare sales, profitability and cash data on monthly basis, budget/forecast data on a quarterly/yearly basis, including comments on various required indicators: sales, EBIT and working capital.
• Identify and resolve monthly deviations in selling price and cost of goods sold, samples, FOCs, rebates and operating expenses by highlighting differences and continuous review with the business.
• Ensure internal control guidelines and procedures are adhered to by continuous monitoring of business processes, identifying problems and recommending corrective measures.
• Recommend practical credit solutions (e.g. digital finance solution and credit policy) that support business growth targets, optimize collections & improve days of collection.
• Develop/maintain relationships with major customers where required (supporting Head of Finance) to understand business drivers and to assess credit risk.
• Support credit operations as a link between GBS and the local organization.

YOUR KEY SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:

• Diploma/Degree in Accounting / Finance / Business / Economics or other relevant professional qualifications with minimum 3 years of relevant experience, preferably in a multi-national organization
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills combined with sound practical judgment
• Strong customer focus with excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build long-term partnerships with employees of all levels
• High proficiency in English, both written & verbal
• High level of accuracy, precision and responsibility for deliverables
• Proficient understanding of accounting and economic subject areas
• Able to work and deliver under pressure with high initiative, drive and commitment
• Proactive approach with focus on adding value for our customers
• Strong team player, adaptable and versatile with the ability to work across different functions & cultures
