Supply Manager 

 

Main Purpose:

 

The Supply Manager leads the End-to-End supply chain strategy for assigned brands and is responsible for the development and maintenance of the master production schedule and rough cut capacity plan to effectively support customer demand while delivering inventory and cost targets.

 Manages the inventory strategy for assigned brands including safety stock strategy and non finished good buffers throughout the supply chain. They are accountable for managing supply planning of product transitions with minimal waste along with bringing new products to market and aligning with cross functional teams on innovation supply pipeline strategy.
• Is the communications focal point between Product Supply and all its internal customers including Sales, Brand, Demand Planning and Finance and is responsible for executive level updates as well as S&OP participation.
• Manages a portfolio of brands with very high complexity and ambiguity and is responsible for proactively driving continuous improvement, risk management, systems transparency, strategy and innovation for PS within their assigned brands with a full end-to-end view and responsibility.

 

Your Tasks & Responsabilities:

  1. Manages the weekly Supply Planning activity for assigned brands in creation of long range master schedule which optimizes SC resources while delivering superior customer service and supporting the delivery of sales targets
  2. Collaborates with Demand Planning to convert forecast into production / inventory requirements for internal & external suppliers.  Operates with integrated planning mindset and collaborates with demand planning, marketing and sales to develop scenario planning tools to proactively address supply risk.
  3. Manages the inventory strategy for assigned brands, maintains safety stock parameters, and drives continuous improvement strategies to optimize stock levels across network.  Performs analysis on statistical safety stock levels, portfolio segmentation, lead time reduction initiatives and partners with supply centers on material buffering tactics.
  4. Proactively partners with end to end supply chain to manage inventory obsolescence through the monitoring of inventory depletion on transitioning materials along with alternate channel opportunities for stranded excess FG inventory
  5. Acts as communication focal point for all supply Related topics within Supply Chain Management as it relates to customer service, inventory level performance and waste
  6. Provides planning oversight / guidance to project initiatives, including New Product Introductions, Packaging Change Implementations (artwork updates, count-size changes, etc.), Formulation changes, Product discontinuations, Manufacturing Site Transfers, Manages all repackaging activities through 3rd Party co-packers (Multipacks, Bonus Packs, IRC Programs, Customer Specific UPC’s and all other product customization)
  7. Provides direction and support to all levels of the supply chain, maintains relevant SAP master data, attends and actively participates in relevant S&OP business meetings, serves on project teams for new product launches and assures launch timing, quantities available per project plan, supply chain reporting: prepare supply status updates; prepare monthly reports on supply chain performance vs. key metrics
  8. Manages relationships with supply centers and drives strategic initiatives to improve service reliability, optimize cost/inventory
  9. Works closely with customer service and logistics teams to ensure efficient stock deployment strategies and efficient delivery of case fill to our customers
  10. Acts as subject matter expert for Supply Chain Management business processes, conducts Supply Chain community of practice sessions, onboard and mentors junior Supply Managers and Buyer Planners across Consumer Health Supply Chain Team

 

Who You Are:  

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business or a technical discipline with 10 years supply chain experience or a Master’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business or a Technical discipline with 8 years  supply chain experience is preferred.

  • Supply chain management experience in consumer products, pharmaceutical or ISO regulated industry

  • Background and understanding of supply chain management principles such as (but not limited to) Production Planning, Purchasing, Forecasting and Logistics is preferred.

  • Demonstrated target and performance driven attitude with successful track record leading projects and teams is desired.

  • Experience with SAP/APO is preferred.

  • Experience working with various software packages:  Excel, Microsoft Office, Microsoft Project and PowerPoint is preferred.

  • Strong interpersonal skills for effective relationship management with internal and external business partners/customers

  • APICS Certification preferred, Green Belt or understanding of lean/six sigma methodology preferred.
