The Oncology Nurse educator (ONE) exhibits deep knowledge of oncology disease states and Bayer products. Serves as a liaison, educator, and promotional conduit to healthcare professionals to deliver value to key accounts and shared organizational objectives.
The span of geography for this role is Colorado and Utah. Candidate must comfortable traveling up to 50% within the geography.
YOUR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The primary responsibilities of this role, Oncology Nurse Educator, are to:
- Exhibit proficiency in and fluency articulating product safety and efficacy data, cancer disease states for which Bayer product(s) are indicated, and topics relevant to Oncology nursing care.
- Build relationships in key accounts and gain insight into nursing stakeholder priorities to develop clinical education plans that meet customer needs and drive positive business outcomes.
- Collaborate withArea General Managers (AGMs), Regional Account Directors (RADs), Oncology Regional Marketers (ORMs), Radiotherapeutic Specialists (RTSs), ), and field-based sales team member to align on key account strategies, priorities, and ONE education initiatives.
- Educate healthcare professionals on therapeutic area product(s) and the oncology disease states for which they are indicated, including appropriate patient identification, proper dosing, and safe and effective use.
- Collaborate with cross functional partners on pre-planning, execution, and pull through of account-based initiatives and maintain accountability for nursing tactics and delivery timelines.
- Imbed into regional field team operations and actively participate in team meetings and activities.
Communicate account updates regularly to cross functional field partners.
WHO YOU ARE
Bayer seeks an incumbent who possesses the following:
Required Qualifications:
- Current license in nursing (such as RN, NP, APN)
- Minimum of Bachelor of Science in Nursing required
- Minimum of 3-5 years clinical oncology experience with strong, demonstrable clinical acumen
- Displays self-starter mentality
- Demonstrates excellent presentation, platform, and facilitation skills
- Exhibits business acumen
- Displays accountability for actions and results
- Strong cross-functional collaboration and interpersonal skills
- Knowledge of oncology and or urology practices within geography
- Passionate and self-motivated individual
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
- Must be able to handle extensive travel requirements (60-75%). Ability to travel as necessary or required, to include overnight and/or weekend travel
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certification in Oncology Nursing (OCN)
- Urology experience a plus
- Previous pharmaceutical industry experience preferred
- Experience in launching new products and/or indications (preferably in oncology)
Experience working in academic centers and large community oncology and/or urology practices
Employees can expect to be paid a salary between $ 157,600.00 - $236,400.00. Additional compensation may include a bonus or commission (if relevant). Additional benefits include health care, vision, dental, retirement, PTO, sick leave, etc.
This salary range is merely an estimate and may vary based on an applicant’s location, market data/ranges, an applicant’s skills and prior relevant experience, certain degrees and certifications, and other relevant factors.
