Accountant 

The accountant BE is responsible for execution of closing and audit activities, preparation and presentation of financial statements, mandatory statistics, and tax declarations for the country, ensuring compliance with international and local reporting standards. This role involves performing essential accounting and tax operational tasks in strong collaboration with amongst others business stakeholders, the tax capability pool and global business services team. You will report to the finance lead. 

YOUR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES 

• Prepare and present financial statements, mandatory statistics, and tax declarations for the country or country group in compliance with BKA Directive, international reporting standards, and local legislation. 

• Perform accounting and tax tasks, including recording financial transactions, reconciling accounts, and managing month-end and year-end closing processes in collaboration with local teams and GBS. 

• Handle the group finance budgeting and planning processes, including cross-company charging and legal entity forecasting, in alignment with cluster or central functions. 

• Manage country-specific tax processes, such as tax documentation, HB1 tax posting, and providing necessary information to tax auditors and treasury teams as required. 

• Implement globally defined group accounting and tax standards, best practices, and processes with guidance from senior accountants and finance specialists 

• Execute optimization projects aimed at continuously improving the quality and efficiency of local processes while facilitating global initiatives in collaboration with GBS. 
  Co-lead the external audit process, ensuring all financial documentation and records are accurate and compliant with regulatory standards 

• Execute and monitor internal controls to ensure compliance with financial regulations and safeguard the integrity of financial reporting.

WHO YOU ARE 

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field .

• Profound knowledge of accounting, tax and finance relevant processes and practises.  

• Ability to translate subject matters into operational execution . 

• Proficiency in accounting software and BI Knowledge / platforms. 

• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. 

• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.  

• Language skills: Local language required and fluent English.
