Medical/Scientific Advisor Cardiorenal Benelux
The Medical/Scientific Advisor Benelux (BNL) acts as the primary scientific expert in the Therapeutic Area of Cardiorenal medicine proactively providing training, scientific advice and strategic input to internal and external stakeholders as well as the scientific community. This position has a BNL scope and will be based in Diegem.
YOUR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Be a strategic partner of the product and customer teams in order to execute the brand strategy in line with good medical practice.
- Responsible for collaborating, aligning medical objectives and priorities in alignment with the brand strategy.
- Accountable for driving the localization of the global medical and brand strategy.
- Responsible and accountable for using cross-functional knowledge to create medical multichannel campaigns.
- Accountable for driving a strategic partnership with local cross-functional teams in collaboration with the Country Medical Director.
- Also for aligning evidence generation with medical and brand strategy.
- Providing medical expertise and support to clinical trial teams on subjects related to interventional clinical trials, Observational Studies (OS), Real World Evidence (RWE) plans and Investigator Initiated Research (IIR) as locally required.
- Reviewing and interpreting analytics and relevant field insights to optimize and manage medical content and adapt the evidence generation plan (e.g., in National Advisory boards).
- Accountable for fostering Medical Affairs relationships with Thought Leaders and external stakeholder groups.
- Lead medical advisory boards.
- Accountable for providing scient medical educational programs.
- Provide medical support on internal projects.
- Proactively ensure that Bayer medical activities are in line with relevant guidelines, regulations and legislations.
- Responsible for providing scientific education and training to cross-functional partners, scientifically reviewing and approving all therapeutic area/product related materials.
- External communications, documenting and processing medical Information queries (second line only) in alignment with local Medical Information handling procedures.
- Advising cross-functionally using medical/scientific expertise.

WHO YOU ARE
- Master in Biomedical Sciences (Medicine, Pharmacy, ...)
- Passion for cardiology and cardiometabolic disease
- Understanding of the pharma code of the country
- Desirable experience in driving and managing the medical strategy for various brands in the pharmaceutical industry
- Clinical research and trial management experience and be able to interact authoritatively with key stakeholders and investigators
- Strong skills in managing stakeholders and experienced in building networks
- Business Acumen displaying ability to operate cross-functionally, driving organizational growth, understanding of marketing/sales functions in pharma industry
- Well organized and autonomous
- Fluent in Dutch, French, English, as well as intercultural skills
