AI Application Expert (all genders), Dormagen 

You drive digital transformation at the Dormagen site by bringing AI and machine learning into manufacturing to improve operational efficiency and process performance. In this role, you advise stakeholders from production and site leadership, deliver impactful AI solutions, and ensure implementation in line with the Digital Roadmap. YOUR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Spearhead site digital transformation by implementing AI-driven applications for process improvement
• Consult and advise local production functions and site leadership on AI methodologies and data-driven decision-making using advanced analytics and machine learning
• Drive projects aligned with the Digital Roadmap, focusing on deploying AI solutions that optimize production processes
• Collaborate with site teams to leverage synergies across initiatives and enhance overall site performance
• Ensure alignment with global digital strategies and represent site-specific needs within relevant global networks
• Provide consulting support for data mining, data engineering, data governance, and implementation of custom AI solutions
• Develop and execute AI projects and train site personnel to enable adoption of AI applications
• Build and maintain local data infrastructure in line with global strategies, ensuring data availability, robust pipelines, and data integrity

WHO YOU ARE

• Hold a degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, or a related field
• Stand out with a strong understanding of AI technologies and their application in manufacturing and process environments
• Bring experience in data mining, data engineering, and data governance
• Apply a structured approach to complex problem-solving and concept development
• Show proven experience in stakeholder and change management as well as project leadership
• Are a strong team player with high integrity and excellent communication skills
• Bring experience maintaining cloud infrastructure (e.g., AWS, Azure) to support data pipelines and AI applications, plus knowledge of DevOps practices and IaC tools (including relevant internal frameworks and guidelines)
• Are proficient in German and have excellent English skills (spoken and written), and work effectively in an intercultural environment with strong lateral leadership skills
