Purification process and Laboratory digitalization specialist (all genders)
You provide technical leadership in purification methodologies and in establishing an integrated synthesis, purification, and analytics platform. As a key stakeholder for purification and IT matters, you are responsible for both the Process Design & Sample Delivery Hub and across hubs.
YOUR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- You independently perform and implement analytical and purification methods using state-of-the-art laboratory techniques, including Auto-Purifier, prep. HPLC, chiral HPLC, HPLC-MS, UPLC-MS, LCMS, Analytical & Prep. SFC, Liquid Handlers, Freeze Dryers, and Centrifuges
- Performing maintenance of the equipment and organizing work processes, including preparatory and follow-up activities (such as supply and disposal, general laboratory organization, and activities), are your responsibilities
- You proactively support the integration of modern IT solutions, modify IT interfaces, and develop as well as integrate digital solutions tailored to the needs of the laboratory
- Being part of initiatives for the digitalization of the laboratory, including data management, integration, and reporting systems, is part of your daily tasks
- You support organic synthesis projects of the Process Design and Sample Delivery Hub
- Routinely conducting scientific work in accordance with internal safety standards and documenting results in electronic systems in compliance with Bayer's regulations is part of your responsibilities
- You address functional and operational areas and proactively seek solutions through constant communication with the purification team, project teams, and internal as well as external service providers

- You have completed a bachelor’s degree in chemistry or chemical engineering, or you have completed vocational training as a Chemical Laboratory Technician (all genders) with several years of professional experience
- Understanding and practical experience in organic chemical synthesis, purification, and analytical methods are part of your qualifications
- Experience in programming languages (e.g., Python, R) and familiarity with laboratory automation and digitalization projects would be a plus
- A positive attitude, enthusiasm, flexibility, willingness to learn, and team spirit are key competencies that bring to the role
- Professional German and good English skills, both spoken and written, round off your profile
