Synthetic Organic Chemist for Profile Driven Chemistry (all genders)
YOUR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- You plan and execute synthesis routes, conduct active experimental work in our state-of-the-art chemistry laboratories, evaluate analysis results, document the findings, and present them to the team
- In a global R&D organization, you support the design and data-driven decision-making for the realization of drug candidate molecules in a hypothesis-based manner
- You work in an advanced digital environment, using cheminformatics, molecular modeling, deep learning/machine learning, and AI for drug molecule design, synthesis planning, and data analysis to achieve maximum contribution to our pipeline
- You work in a results-oriented, self-organized team of biologists, biochemists, data scientists, and other disciplines

- You are a qualified scientist (all genders) with a Master’s degree or PhD in organic chemistry or computational chemistry/data science and bring profound expertise and synthesis experience in organic chemistry, ideally in drug synthesis and design
- Profound knowledge of cheminformatics, molecular modeling, library design, and data science or a closely related field is a strong advantage, furhtermore, a track record of publications (scientific publications, patents) in these fields is highly valued
- You have profound knowledge of organic chemical synthesis, SAR analysis, and digitalization of chemistry. Ideally, you have professional experience in agrochemical or pharmaceutical research
- You are willing to learn, develop yourself and your teammates, and receive/share feedback within the team; you inspire the team with optimism and initiative and are interested in driving change
- You share with us the values of mutual respect, inclusion, diversity, and a strong desire to be a member of a successful team driven by delivering the best for our pipeline
- You are fluent in English, written and spoken, knowledge of German and French is an advantage
