Working Student Agrokinetics/Plant Physiology (all genders) 

 

We are looking for you to join our Bayer CropScience team! In this working student position, you will have the opportunity to support and engage in experiments that analyze the fate of small molecules in plants. As part of our innovative Plant Physiology Hub in Frankfurt, you will collaborate with team members across sites, gaining invaluable experience in the field.

 

YOUR TASKS AND EDUCATIONAL OBJECTIVES

 

  • Conduct in vitro and in planta experiments to investigate the fate of small molecules in plants
  • Drive innovation by enhancing the throughput of our in-planta assays to analyze bioavailability
  • Independently document your findings in our electronic lab journal

 

 

WHO YOU ARE

 

Required:

  • You are an enrolled Bachelor’s or Master’s student (all genders) in Biology, Biochemistry or related fields
  • You have practical wet lab experience in plant science and/or molecular/cell biology and are familiar with basic laboratory tasks such as pipetting, performing chemical calculations and preparing buffer solutions
  • You have a solid understanding of plant biology or if you are eager to learn more, that is perfectly fine too!
  • You demonstrate excellent communication skills, thrive in team settings and have a genuine passion for science
  • You are fluent in English or German, both written and spoken

 

Desirable:

  • Experience with mass spectrometry; however, if you're enthusiastic about learning more, that is absolutely welcome!
