Role overview:

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Financial Accounting General Ledger Specialist to join our Global Expert Hub in GBS Gdansk. The primary purpose of this role is to oversee a specific area of Financial Accounting, ensuring effective monitoring, analysis, and knowledge management while supporting improvement measures and enforcing global processes. This position will also serve as an extended workbench for the Global Process Owner (GPO) organization and the Consolidation department, fostering collaboration and ensuring alignment with our financial objectives.

Your Responsibilities:

• Drive and coordinate multiple financial processes while managing and empowering team members.
• Build and lead a global community of experts focused on process excellence.
• Collaborate with Global Expert Hubs in other accounting areas and Global Process Governance to maintain globally defined standards.
• Contribute to the operational effectiveness of the internal control system for financial statement preparation.
• Challenge the status quo and propose improvements to enhance business requirements.
• Initiate and manage optimization projects and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Play a key role in global and local projects, including mergers, acquisitions, or divestitures.
• Anticipate potential issues and manage changes proactively through effective escalation management.
• Define, monitor, and steer performance excellence using KPIs.

Your Tasks:

• Establish trustful relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
• Utilize a hands-on management style to facilitate business model changes.
• Leverage 2-3 years of experience as an Accounting Process Lead to enhance process efficiency.
• Organize international process training, workshops, and conferences.
• Demonstrate strong self-motivation, flexibility, and the ability to work under pressure.
• Exhibit excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Apply analytical thinking and solid organizational skills with attention to detail.
