Cluster Partner Switzerland
The Cluster Partner Switzerland role is a high‑impact Work Lead position with senior stakeholder exposure and cross‑country accountability; In this role, you operate independently within a complex global matrix environment and drive outcomes through your expertise, coordination, and leadership rather than direct people management; As the senior business interface for Source‑to‑Pay (S2P) and Procurement towards CFOs and senior regional stakeholders, you translate global S2P strategies into measurable, country‑level business outcomes and ensure that global strategies are converted into locally relevant, business‑focused solutions.
YOUR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The primary responsibilities of this role, Cluster Partner Switzerland, are to:
- Act as the primary point of contact for CFOs and senior business stakeholders across the assigned country cluster, representing the full S2P and Procurement scope;
- Build and maintain strategic, trust‑based relationships with regional and country management, ensuring alignment between business priorities and global Procurement objectives;
- Ensure consistent senior‑level communication, transparency, and expectation management across markets within the cluster;
- Serve as Work Lead for country‑cluster topics, coordinating activities across S2P Operations, Procurement Process Areas, Country Partners, and enabling functions, while providing VACC leadership and support to 4–15 respective Country Partners;
- Own the end‑to‑end handling of business inquiries and escalations, ensuring clear ownership, prioritization, and timely resolution in line with the Procurement operating model;
- Review outcomes of key topics and escalations, consolidate learnings, and translate them into sustainable actions and improvement plans;
- Provide a holistic country‑cluster view on S2P performance, trends, risks, and opportunities using data analytics and structured user feedback, and translate insights into clear recommendations for Operations and Process Areas;
- Support the development and adoption of analytics and reporting tools by defining business‑relevant requirements and championing their use across the cluster;
- Act as a Work Lead for change, translating global S2P initiatives into clear, relevant, and actionable messages for country clusters and driving change management, communication, and stakeholder training to ensure adoption and minimize disruption;
- Ensure that stakeholder needs, user experience, and business impact remain central to all initiatives, securing reliable execution and tangible value delivery for the countries in scope.
WHO YOU ARE
Bayer seeks an incumbent who possesses the following:
Required Qualifications:
- Several years of professional experience in Procurement, Source‑to‑Pay, Finance, or a related field in a complex, international environment;
- Demonstrated ability to operate credibly and confidently with CFOs and senior leadership, acting as a trusted business partner;
- Strong business acumen and systems thinking, with the ability to connect end‑to‑end processes, data, and business outcomes;
- Proven experience in stakeholder management, including building strategic, trust‑based relationships and managing expectations across multiple countries or business units;
- Experience in leading without formal authority, orchestrating cross‑functional teams and driving results through influence rather than direct people management;
- Solid understanding of S2P processes and Procurement operating models, including issue resolution, performance management, and continuous improvement;
- Strong analytical skills, including the ability to interpret data, identify trends, and translate insights into clear recommendations and actions;
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to translate complex topics into clear, actionable messages for diverse stakeholder groups;
- Proven experience in change management, including communication, stakeholder engagement, and training to drive adoption of new processes, tools, or ways of working;
- High degree of autonomy, resilience, and ownership mindset, with the ability to navigate ambiguity and prioritize effectively in a dynamic environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working in a global matrix organization with cross‑country or regional accountability;
- Familiarity with S2P and Procurement analytics and reporting tools, and experience defining business requirements for such tools;
- Background in the life sciences, healthcare, or a similarly regulated industry;
- Fluency in English; additional language skills relevant for Switzerland and the cluster (e.g., German B2) is an advantage.
