General Ledger / Reporting Senior Associate 

Your Tasks & Responsibilities:

• Take full ownership of outcomes within your country cluster as an empowered squad member.
• Record, verify, and execute tasks of moderate complexity according to process guidelines.
• Perform internal controls, ensuring timely and accurate completion.
• Update and create documentation as needed; monitor KPIs and take appropriate action.
• Actively participate in relevant meetings (PG call with GEH, GL/Rep process meeting) and collaborate closely with your team.
• Provide back-up support for other GBS Finance team members.
• Proactively engage and co-create with finance stakeholders to deliver value.
• Collaborate with key business partners and global networks to ensure seamless, customer-focused operations.
• Escalate problems promptly to accelerate decisions and support issue resolution.
• Support process improvements and innovation for greater efficiency and effectiveness
• Organize regular calls with the Country Platform and ad hoc calls whenever needed, also take part in Accounting Community Calls
• Act as Audit Coordinator for GL/Rep part of requests for the region in your scope of responsibility
• Collaborate closely with GFO colleagues and provide support and knowledge whenever needed to ensure smooth Closing processing and License to Operate
• You will be responsible for delivery of financial statements, preparation and quality check of data for financial statements, therefore we expect full understanding and ownership of accounting data

Who You Are: 

• University degree with majors in Taxes, Accounting, Finance, Economics, Engineering or equivalent education
• +2 years of professional experience in Taxes, Accounting, Finance or Controlling.
• Fundamental knowledge of Finance systems and procedures both at a corporate level and a country/international level
• Good knowledge of global accounting and controlling standards and reporting requirements, accounting processes, internal controls and controlling concepts as well as local and global accounting policies (IFRS, local GAAP)
• Ability to work successfully with people from different cultures and backgrounds
• Strong interpersonal, communication and conflict management skills
• Language: Strong level of English; German or any other language beneficial
• Experience in executing Operational Excellence initiatives and change management would be beneficial
• Expertise with enterprise-wide business systems thorough knowledge of ERP (SAP FI, CO, S4HANA) and BI systems and proficiency of Microsoft Office applications.
