Procurement Manager Pharma with German (hybrid) 

 

About the Role

Are you passionate about strategic sourcing and driving procurement excellence in the pharmaceutical industry? We’re looking for a Procurement Manager to lead sourcing activities and supplier relationships for our Pharmaceuticals division. You’ll play a key role in ensuring cost-effective, high-quality, and timely procurement aligned with global strategies.

This is a dynamic role where you’ll collaborate with internal stakeholders and external suppliers to implement innovative and sustainable sourcing solutions that support our business growth.

 

Key Responsibilities

Sourcing & Strategy

  • Lead sourcing activities for assigned suppliers, including delegation to external service providers.
  • Monitor supply constraints and communicate proactively with category leadership.
  • Support strategic sourcing initiatives in collaboration with Category Leads.

Stakeholder Engagement

  • Understand business needs and engage with global, regional, and local stakeholders.
  • Build trustful relationships and align on joint targets and procurement priorities.
  • Act as the go-to expert for procurement topics and provide procedural guidance.

Supplier Management

  • Create and manage supply agreements, minimizing contractual risks.
  • Provide market intelligence to mitigate supply risks and enhance decision-making.
  • Conduct supplier and market analysis to identify trends and opportunities.

Who You Are

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in science, engineering, or business management.
  • Experience: Ideally a few years in procurement, with knowledge of sourcing methodologies.
  • Skills: Strong financial acumen, strategic mindset, and analytical decision-making.
  • Technical: Proficient in Microsoft Office; experience with SAP, Ariba, or similar systems is a plus.
  • Languages: Fluent in English and German; additional languages are a bonus.
  • Soft Skills: Excellent communicator, collaborator, and problem-solver.
