Tax Technology Senior Expert 

The Center of Expertize Tax Technology Senior Expert will contribute to the global responsibility for all tax-related IT activities in the areas of compliance, audits, and process enabling. This role represents Bayer to local authorities, third parties (e.g., tax advisors), and intra-group business/subgroups and affiliated companies.
Be part of Bayer’s global CoE Tax Technology team, shaping leading practices and technologies across the GBS organization.

Your Tasks & Responsibilites:

• Contribute to the tax processes by maintaining the necessary IT landscape/systems (e.g., SAP Tax Compliance, EY Tax Risk Reporting, EY Tax Audit Center) and support users with technical or organizational questions
• Contribute to the adoption of self-service technologies (e.g. KNIME, Power Platform, myGenAssist, Datalake) and to tax projects to increase tax function efficiency, compliance and improve decision-making
• Support the development and expansion of digital competencies within tax
• Support tax audits to meet legal requirements by maintaining solutions for standard data extracts (e.g. SAP DART) or by creating data extract on ad-hoc basis
• Maintain tax audit environments, ensuring indirect data access, system accesses and infrastructure for auditors
• Contribute to the design, implementation and maintenance of the SAP authorization concept for tax
• Drive continuous improvements in the tax function

Who You Are:

• Minimum of 3 years of professional experience in IT preferably in an industrial, consulting, or administrative environment with a deeper insight into the area of accounting / tax-processes and systems
• Advanced level of data and information science with proven experience in SQL, Python and other Smart Analytics tools (KNIME, PowerBI, Power Query, Tableau,.) and business information systems capability to develop new knowledge from data and information and to translate process requirements to digital solutions and to introduce digital technologies into processes.
• Advanced level of capability to collaborate task/project oriented without geographical, organizational or functional boarders.
• Strong ability to manage ambiguity and for sound judgement
• Advanced level of capability to lead change, projects and initiatives
• Very good English in written and spoken
