Agronomic Services Representative
Position Purpose:
Responsible for the development, positioning, and technical validation of corn and sorghum seeds, as well as Crop Protection products and digital tools, within a specific region.
Acts as a strong and recognized technical reference, ensuring the adoption of agronomic best practices and the correct implementation of Bayer field protocols.
Your Tasks & Responsibilities:
- Develop and position corn and sorghum seeds, Crop Protection products, and digital solutions in the assigned region through the execution of field trials (FTN and Small Plots), following predefined protocols and working in close partnership with growers.
- Develop, validate, and propose best agronomic practices adapted to different cropping systems and agro-ecological environments within the region.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with growers, understanding environmental differences and identifying opportunities to project Bayer products, technologies, and agronomic practices as integrated solutions.
- Serve as a strong and recognized technical reference, both internally and externally, for seeds, Crop Protection products, and digital tools.
- Collaborate closely with Market & Customer Insights, KT Agronomists, and other business functions to understand business needs and knowledge transfer opportunities.
- Train KT Agronomists within the business unit and region on hybrid performance, agronomic practices, and digital tools, jointly proposing new agronomic best practices.
- Manage and supervise field contractors (field wages), ensuring proper execution of daily activities, operational excellence, and compliance with safety standards.
- Participate in protocol development discussions, providing feedback to protocol owners and product development teams (Corn Mission) to continuously fine-tune field protocols.
- Identify and interact with key influencers, seeking opportunities to communicate Bayer recommendations on new technologies and best management practices to maximize product and hybrid performance and protect technologies.
- Ensure full compliance with stewardship practices and regulatory guidelines, in alignment with Legal, HSE, and Business Conduct Policies. Key Interactions / Stakeholders, Commercial Operations (Business Units, Corn Mission & Squads) Agronomic Services Data & Recommendation Teams (Protocol Owners and Data Management) R&D (Breeding / Field Solutions) Regulatory Science, Stewardship, and Resistance Management Growers, Distribution, Academy, and Technical Institutions HSE Profile
Who You Are:
- Bachelor’s degree in Agronomy or related fields.
- MSc or PhD degrees are desirable.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in agriculture and agricultural experimentation.
- Intermediate proficiency in English.
- Strong organizational, planning, and proactive skills.
- Solid competencies in relationships, networking, and agility.
- Effective communication, influencing, and stakeholder management skills.
