YOUR TASKS AND RESPONSABILITIES:
- Administer and operate the SAP BTP environment, including subaccount management, entitlements, service provisioning, identity & access management, and platform monitoring as the primary responsibility of this role.
- Manage and administer SAP S/4HANA Basis components, including system monitoring, performance tuning, job scheduling, output management, and troubleshooting in alignment with Rise with SAP.
- Oversee and ensure system performance and availability, proactively identifying and resolving issues to maintain a stable and reliable SAP environment in alignment with Rise with SAP service standards.
- Ensure SAP system configurations and operations adhere to internal security policies, compliance requirements, and audit standards, maintaining a secure and controlled SAP environment.
- Plan and execute system upgrades, refreshes, patches, migration activities, and system copies while adhering to best practices and minimizing downtime.
- Take ownership of SAP Basis and BTP-related incidents, service requests, and changes. Actively investigating, troubleshooting, and resolving issues in alignment with ITIL-based service management practices, ensuring timely resolution and adherence to SLA commitments.
- Act as a point of escalation for complex technical issues, driving root cause analysis and ensuring permanent resolution through structured problem management.
- Proactively identify risks, gaps, and improvement opportunities across the SAP landscape and BTP platform. Proposing and driving solutions rather than waiting to be directed.
- Design and continuously improve system maintenance and management concepts for SAP S/4 and SAP BTP.
- Design, implement, and continuously improve automation solutions to reduce manual effort, increase reliability, and improve operational efficiency across Basis and BTP operations.
- Implement and manage system archiving processes, including OpenText Archiving & Document Management, to optimize system performance and storage utilization.
- Collaborate closely with the CORE SAP S/4HANA Program and IT Operations teams to ensure platform and system management aligns with project requirements and release & deployment timelines.
- Manage collaboration with external IT Operations suppliers and SAP within the Rise with SAP framework.
- Provide technical guidance on SAP Basis and BTP platform administration, sharing best practices with the team.
- Maintain high-quality technical documentation, runbooks, and SOPs, ensuring knowledge is accessible, current, and actionable for the team.
- Stay current on SAP BTP features and best practices, including SAP's embedded AI capabilities, and leverage AI-powered tools (e.g., ChatGPT, Claude, Copilot) to enhance delivery quality and efficiency.
WHO YOU ARE:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field, or equivalent work experience.
- 8+ years of experience, in SAP Basis administration and system management, with a strong focus on SAP BTP administration and S/4HANA, ideally in a regulated (GxP) environment. Relevant certifications are a plus.
- At least 3 years of hands-on BTP administration experience, with SAP BTP Cockpit, subaccount management, BTP service administration, and Identity & Access Management.
- Strong understanding of SAP system architecture and administration.
- Experience in SAP BTP administration with a solid understanding of high-level architectures (Cloud Foundry, Kyma)
- Good working knowledge of core BTP services including Connectivity, Cloud Connector, cTMS, and SAP HANA Cloud
- Experience with SAP Solution Manager, CloudALM, Redwood RunMyJobs, or similar tools.
- Experience with DevOps and Agile methodologies.
- Knowledge of Business Process Monitoring using Celonis or Signavio is a plus.
- Comfortable using AI-powered tools (ChatGPT, Claude, Copilot, or similar) as part of your daily workflow.
- Demonstrates strong ownership and accountability. you see things through to resolution and don't consider a task done until the outcome is delivered and verified.

- Fluent in English (required).
- Portuguese and German are an additional advantage.
