YOUR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

 

  • Assist the data collection, consolidation and analysis for the preparations of tax return.
  • Conduct reviews of transaction data to ensure proper tax compliance on regards to tax laws.
  • Monitoring, reconciling and clearing tax accounts and handle basic inquiries from tax authorities.
  • Propose process improvement activities.
  • Collaborates with the team members and process expert/ team lead to develop action plan to perform/execute these activities.
  • Ensures that Reports are submitted on Time.
  • Initiate amendment process if required to correct previous filings.
  • Handle Tax queries from AP, IC & Local (including request Monitoring).
  • Support in change management initiatives and contribute to improve tax processes and implementation of innovation and standardization.
  • Collaboration in requirements from tax authorities.
  • Documentation of processes and updates of knowledge management.

 

WHO YOU ARE

 

  • B/BS in Finance, Accounting, Law and/or Tax.
  • At least 3 years of work experience in tax covering tax compliance for USA tax jurisdictions.
  • English language should be intermediate in spoken and writing.
  • Knowledge of relevant tax area, e.g. Sales and Use, 1042, Property Tax, etc.
  • ERP Knowledge, preferably SAP.
  • Data analysis: proficiency in Excel, Pivot tables, LOOKUP functions, experience in Macros would be a plus.
  • Familiarity with tax software tools e.g. Vertex, Avalara, OneSource, SOVOS, DMA, 1099PRO.
  • Understanding in researching tax laws, regulations, rulings, etc.
  • Ability to collaborate with others to be One Bayer and work under pressure with high flexibility in a changing and complex environment.
  • Critical thinking.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Intermediate skills of power point.
  • Ability to manage multiple and diverse stakeholders.
  • Being resolutive, independent and a decision-making person.
  • Demonstrated teamwork spirit.
  • Strong interpersonal and communications skills.
  • Analytical, proactive, with initiative and persistence for follow-up.
  • Capacity to identify the "Why of things" and escalate properly.
