JOB MAIN PURPOSE
The Associate Medical Advisor (Ass. Medical Advisor) acts as a key scientific expert in the Therapeutic Area, providing scientific advice, training, and strategic medical input to internal and external stakeholders. Under the coaching of the Medical Advisor/CMD, the role is responsible for localizing and executing global and regional medical and brand strategies, developing local medical plans, and supporting evidence generation across the product life cycle.
The Ass. Medical Advisor builds and maintains long‑term scientific relationships with key physicians, Thought Leaders, medical associations, and academic institutions, while ensuring all medical materials and activities are scientifically accurate, compliant, and aligned with Bayer standards.
This role is responsible for WHC products.
YOUR ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Localize and execute global/regional medical and brand strategies, and develop local strategies where global guidance is not available, under the coaching of Medical Advisor/CMD.
- Drive and contribute to medical multichannel campaigns, including scientific content development, customer journey design, and cross‑functional alignment.
- Support clinical evidence generation, including Interventional Post‑Approval Trials (IPAT), Observational Studies (OS), and Investigator‑Initiated Research (IIR).
- Provide medical support to clinical trial activities, including feasibility assessments and initiation visits.
- Build, manage, and activate Thought Leader relationships and external stakeholders, and document engagement activities in Veeva Medical CRM.
- Contribute to the development and execution of medical education programs for HCPs, patients, and communities, including scientific events and guideline‑related initiatives.
- Provide internal medical support for pre‑launch activities, reimbursement processes, training, material review, and ensure compliance with applicable regulations and guidelines.
- Handle medical information queries that are outside standard processes.
YOUR KEY SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS
- Strong scientific/ medical background. Qualified Physician / Pharmacist / Biologist / high level of natural science education.
- Desirable to have previous clinical work experience treating patients.
- Desirable previous experience of being a Medical/Scientific Advisor in industry or other Medical Department’s roles.
- Strong skills in managing stakeholders and experienced in building networks.
- Business Acumen displaying ability to operate cross-functionally, driving organizational growth, understanding of marketing/sales functions in pharma industry.
- Desirable experience contributing to an organization’s strategic endeavours, displaying industry/market knowledge.
