TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Jobholder understands end-of-end accounting processes of General Accounting, Asset Accounting, Management Accounting, Transactional Accounting and tax processes of Corporate Income Tax, Value Added Tax and Transfer Pricing
• Incumbent is responsible for preparing and presentation of the financial statements, mandatory statistics and tax declarations of the subcluster countries in accordance with the respective international reporting standards and local legislation and requirements
• The jobholder performs accounting and tax tasks, including recording financial transactions and reconciling accounts, month-end and year-end closing, preparing journal entries, tax declarations among others in accordance with Bayer and/or local standards in collaboration with the country finance team, capability pools and Global Business Services (GBS).
• The incumbent performs country specific activities for tax processes such as tax documentation, Local tax posting and reposting, providing information to tax and treasury North Europe, tax auditors or other relevant stakeholders 
• He / She co-leads the external audit process and executes internal controls
• Jobholder actively contributes to outcomes defined by the NE Accounting capability pool
• Jobholder executes optimization projects to continuously improve quality and efficiency for local processes by fostering automation and AI solutions and facilitates global initiatives in collaboration with Global Business Services (GBS)
• He / She implements globally defined group accounting and tax standards, best practices and processes with guidance from senior accountants, finance specialist or finance lead

• Internal:Peers in the country finance, GBS, NE accounting capability pool
• External:External auditors, Relevant local government authorities 

WHO YOU ARE

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field
• Profound knowledge of accounting, tax and finance relevant processes and practices; Dutch GAAP expertise preferred and tax accounting experience a plus
• Strong digital skills and knowledge of Artificial Intelligence applications
• Ability to translate subject matters into operational execution
• Proficiency in accounting software and BI Knowledge / platforms
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
• Language skills: Dutch language required and fluent English
