Customer Interface Account Specialist DACH 


As a Customer Interface Account Specialist you will be the owner of the service relationship with the assigned customer base and acting as a primary communication contact for accounts. You will be responsible for supporting and providing service to our customers in DACH (Germany, Austria and Switzerland). Our customers are plant raisers, dealers, and distributors involved in the agricultural business, only the vegetable business.
You act as a liaison, provide product/service information, and resolve any problems that our customers might face with accuracy and efficiency. The best Customer Interface Account Specialist needs to be excited to help customers. You are patient, empathic, and passionately communicative and can put yourself in our customers’ shoes and advocate with them when necessary. Customer feedback is crucial for us and it is important you listen to them and translate it into process and quality improvements. Problem-solving also comes naturally to you and you are confident at troubleshooting and investigating if you don’t have enough information to resolve customer complaints.
In this dynamic job, you work, communicate, and level with the Sales Team, Logistic Team, Planning Team,  Credit Team, and the Customer Operations back office team (based in Hungary). Within Bayer Crop Science, this position in the Customer Interface organization will be located in Hoofddorp, the Netherlands and you report to the Customer Interface Business Partner & Team Lead. 


  • Owner of the service relationship with the assigned customer base, acting as primary communication contact for accounts and Sales Teams members -on both inbound and outbound requests - for all matters related to service, orders, and operational activities.
  • Cooperate with internal resources cross-functionally to solve customer problems and deliver solutions to accounts.
  • Quickly and accurately responds to all customer inquiries on orders, supply availability, and product information in adherence to defined lead times and expectations.
  • Proactively provides order, supply availability, and product updates to assigned accounts, executing upon opportunities that increase customer loyalty.
  • Understands marketing and operational programs related to their customer base or region, and can accurately explain and answer questions related to customer eligibility and program details for customers.
  • Receives and creates customer sales orders and validation, delivery prioritization, invoice, and other fiscal document management.
  • Understands relevant KPIs and metrics for the role and department, maintains ongoing knowledge of current performance, and proactively strives to close performance gaps in partnership with Business Partner & Team Lead.

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business or other related field and a minimum of 1- 2 years relevant Customer Service/Planning/Logistic/Account Management or Sales experience in teams.  
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, handle multiple tasks simultaneously and able to build relationships via phone.
  • You have excellent communication skills, work with a sense of urgency and ensure data accuracy.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook) and experience with SAP and Salesforce is a plus. 
  • The company language is English, so proficiency is a must for all internal communication.
  • Proficiency in German is a must; knowledge of any additional European language is a plus.
  • Full-time (38 hours) available.
