Compliance Operations Manager
The Compliance Operations Manager plays a crucial role in ensuring that regional operational and functional activities comply with U.S. and Canadian regulatory requirements while aligning with Bayer Global compliance and Quality frameworks. You will translate external regulations and global standards into practical operational processes, controls, and training that enable compliant and efficient execution across field and site operations. This role is vital for enabling compliant growth by bridging global standards and regional regulatory requirements with real-world operational execution, thereby strengthening quality, trust, and sustainability across North America pipeline operations.
YOUR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Translate regulatory requirements into operational processes, controls, and standards aligned with global policies;
- Embed compliance and quality “by design” into field operations, site processes, and R&D activities;
- Identify compliance risks and propose pragmatic, business-aligned solutions; actively participate in incident management and solutions;
- Design and deliver compliance and quality training for operational teams;
- Act as a regional compliance partner, supporting audits, inspections, and regulatory interactions;
- Collaborate with regional/global Compliance, Quality, Regulatory, Operations, and Bayer teams in a matrixed environment.
WHO YOU ARE:
Bayer seeks an incumbent who possesses the following:
- Bachelor's degree in Plant Breeding, Agronomy, Molecular Biology, or a related discipline with at least 5 years of experience in plant breeding operations (field or site) and/or molecular laboratory environment and/or Compliance, Quality, or regulatory roles;
- Solid understanding and experience in field and/or seed processing and/or packaging operations;
- Strong understanding of North America regulatory and compliance frameworks applicable to Bayer CS operations;
- Proven ability to understand regulatory standards and translate them into executable processes;
- Executive presence, strong stakeholder management, and influencing skills;
- Solution-oriented mindset with strong business and operational acumen;
- Fluency in English required.
Employees can expect to be paid a salary between $90,000 and $141,000. Additional compensation may include a bonus or incentive compensation (if relevant). Additional benefits include health care, vision, dental, retirement, PTO, sick leave, etc.. This salary range is merely an estimate and may vary based on an applicant’s location, market data/ranges, an applicant’s skills and prior relevant experience, certain degrees and certifications, and other relevant factors.
