Senior Software Engineer 

 

Bayer U.S. LLC seeks a Senior Software Engineer to work in Indianola, PA, on complex medical device development projects as a member of Software Assurance & Operations group. Will also: (i) lead verification planning, architect test automation strategy and automated test execution, software-system integration, issue resolution, collaborate and drive programs with cross-functional teams across multiple geographies to support class-2 medical device that meets FDA design controls and computer system validation; (ii) verify and validate embedded as well as application software using test automation for complex system interactions in medical devices to account for user interactions, performance, safety and functionality; and (iii) design and develop automation verification protocols for the design and development of the system/subsystem of class-2 medical device, review requirements and deliverables, manage or perform the execution of the protocols, analyze results and write reports.

 

 

 

Must have a bachelor’s degree (or foreign equivalent degree) in Computer Engineering or Electrical Engineering plus two (2) years of experience in a related position.

 

Will also accept a master’s degree (or foreign equivalent degree) in Computer Engineering or Electrical Engineering plus one (1) year of experience in a related position.

 

Must also have one (1) year of experience in/with: (i) software development engineer in test (SDET) in a regulated industry, verifying, and integrating software for complex projects with competing priorities as well as creating test automation framework and DevOps; (ii) programming languages such as: C, C#, Python, VB Script, Shell scripting; (iii) communication protocols, such as CANOpen-Cia425, Transmission Control Protocol /Internet Protocol (TCP/IP), etc. as well as V&V Engineering and FDA design controls for medical device design and development; and (iv) Tools and Technologies in medical device industry: DICOM, HL7, MIRTH Connect.

 

Must also have any experience with or knowledge of: (i) DevOps environment and tools such as Jenkins, Amazon Web Services, Jira, Git/GitHub/Rational Team Concert; (ii) working in a matrix/hybrid organization structure with cross-functional leadership skills as well as troubleshooting and making quick decisions; (iii) using Electronic test management tools such as Rational Quality Manager (RQM); (iv) using requirement management tool Doors Next Gen (DNG); (v) using software configuration/version control (MKS) and bug tracking tools (Jira); (vi) Database testing using tools like MySQL, SQL Server, SQL or MongoDB; (vii) Rest API testing; and (viii) automation framework Tricentis Tosca.

 

Experience can be concurrent.
