Sr. Technician – Indianola, PA
PURPOSE
This Senior Technician position provides advanced technical support for multiple project teams in Research and Development, primarily focusing on New Product Development, while providing Life Cycle Engineering support as needed. In addition, the standard BAYER Core Competencies and DSO Values also apply in the evaluation of the incumbent’s suitability for placement into this role classification.
YOUR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- You are proficient in the application of a broad set of analytical and technical tools within a single BAYER technical discipline (Mechanical, QA, V&V, etc.), with a strong emphasis on Risk Reduction testing (RRT) and Verification and Validation (V&V) testing;
- Possess the technical skills and knowledge to function effectively in a second technical discipline, enhancing cross-functional collaboration and project outcomes;
- Proactively seek assignments and works to identify breadth of tasks. May take lead role in selected technical activities;
- Demonstrate proficiency with analytical skills necessary to troubleshoot and resolve advanced technical problems within the primary technical discipline, including the application of Instron testing;
- Handle multiple concurrent projects, understands priorities of assigned tasks, and plan daily activities accordingly. Develops creative solutions to challenging problems, ensuring compliance with protocols;
- May provide guidance to designers/technicians;
- May include training, mentoring or coaching;
- Collaborate with a broad group of cross-functional staff;
- Provide input and may participate in recruiting and selecting teams;
- Support testing from concept to V&V and beyond as necessary.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Associate's degree or 2-year trade/military school;
- You must possess the analytical skills to troubleshoot and resolve advanced technical problems within single technical discipline;
- The ability to handle multiple concurrent projects, understands priorities of assigned tasks and plan daily activities accordingly;
- The Ability to develop creative solutions to challenging problems.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Minimum 5 Years designing/drafting Experience.
Employees can expect to be paid a salary between $68,764.00 to $103,146.00. Additional compensation may include a bonus or incentive compensation (if relevant). Additional benefits include health care, vision, dental, retirement, PTO, sick leave, etc..
This salary range is merely an estimate and may vary based on an applicant’s location, market data/ranges, an applicant’s skills and prior relevant experience, certain degrees and certifications, and other relevant factors.
