Our Itaí-SP unit operates with approximately 500 people during peak season and plays a key role in Bayer’s corn seed production, accounting for 20% of its sales in Brazil and 8% of the national Safrinha crop.

In the past five years, R$60 million has been invested in new technologies, with an additional R$65 million planned for expansion, efficiency, digital agriculture, and AI-driven automation.

The Maintenance, Reliability, and Facilities team is strategic to our success, ensuring operational reliability, enhancing productivity, and driving innovation in a highly demanding market.

YOUR MISSION WILL BE TO:

• Manages processes and activities related to facilities, maintenance, improvements and projects. They are responsible of safeguarding the trading licenses.
• Responsible for deliver high-performance on investment management (CAPEX) focusing on compliance, direct maintenance, growth and profit improvements. Develop and implement strategies for facilities, maintenance, reliability and integrity focusing on cost management and service level.
• Manages multiple squads for the Unit  with competencies to deliver critical missions.
• Responsible for methodologies for hazard identification, evaluation and mitigation.
• Management of local governmental processes regarding licenses and engineering rules and standards.
•  Accountable for the oversight of quality processes (e.g., ISO) and their implementation within the quality cluster / country / site.
• Responsible for an HSE management system including processes like auditing, performance evaluation and a continuous improvement cycle as well as for the Quality Management System, identifying gaps and ensuring mitigation measures.
• Responsible for 90 contractors (maintenance, utilities and facilities execution);
• Look for innovation and new ideas/initiatives to reduce cost and increase service level keeping plant availability;
• Keep 100% compliance with global and local regulation (critical areas: mechanical integrity, electrical, security, food);
• Manage CAPEX cash flow keeping real time communication with global engineering;
• Support new optimization projects in Itaí site enhancing site competitiveness.
• Enable initiatives and programs deployment within Seeds technical teams related to Digital Manufacturing, Cybersecurity (MITS), IT Security Manager (ISM) and HSE.

ARE YOU READY FOR THE POSITION?

Must have:

B.A. or M.S. with robust Maintenance Engineering experience

English fluent both written and spoken

Relevant professional business experience, including Engineering and HSE regulatory knowledge.

Operations experience including developing budgets and tracking spending

A track record of successful project and technical group management preferably in a manufacturing environment

Strong experience in process management, process improvement strategies and project management.
