Customer Marketing Manager
Purpose:
The Customer Marketing Manager is responsible to develop the channel strategy and execute the channel plan to support the Sales and Key Brands objectives and deliver the key business outcomes for Bayer Consumer Health (BCH), Indonesia (ID), that directly impact the customers.
The position ensures connection between marketing and sales teams by gathering, interpreting and sorting information to be exchanged between these two functions, and steer the joint works with respective channel sales team.
YOUR TASK and RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Lead the overall BCH ID channel strategy and annual trade/channel marketing plans by category / brand, to achieve the channel / business objectives.
2. Develop and execute the annual trade/channel marketing and promotional plans, in alignment with the Sales team based on market dynamics/needs. This includes NRM and pricing strategy, price pack architecture (PPA) execution and trade terms definition & execution.
3. In collaboration with the Sales teams, to support and actively participate in Joint Business Planning and specific campaigns presentation to key Customers.
4. Lead the development of the Commercial Policy at country level. Defines “Commercial Tools - Sales Deduction” and related sections in Commercial Policy, based on RACI, and ensure implementation across channels/sales/marketing, by performing the relevant checks and corrective actions in case of deviations.
5. Develop the merchandising policy in collaboration with Sales/Marketing. Lead and manage in-store Promoters & Merchandisers Troops through 3rd party agencies to ensure excellent in-store
executions.
6. Monitor channel / customer performance to ensure results delivery in acordance with plans. Perform evaluation of trade marketing / promotional programs for respective channel / customer on the ROI and impact. When necessary, to propose and implement improved mechanics to gain better ROI. As owner, to lead the Country SISO tracker / KPI dashboard, measuring monthly offtake, sell-in, sell-out and inventory at the distributors and trade/customers
7. Manage the trade / channel marketing spending for G2N and P&I per the assigned budget, ensure promotional activities and spends are reported in an accurate and timely manner. Recommend improvement for spending policy / procedures, where necessary.
8. Conduct regular field visits to check on POSM utilization, promotional activities, rapport building with key customers to obtain feedback. Gather insights from competitors’ activities and channel market trends to support development of future channel / customer plans and implement tactical counter measure campaigns when necessary.
9. Accurate and timely sales forecasting
• Work closely with Sales, Brand Marketing and Supply Chain on monthly forecast requirements during S&OP.
• Monitor stocks level in the trade for proper stocks requirement planning.
10. Ensure adherence of Bayer Corporate Compliance & governance policies in the sales organization, and all sales activities / executions to comply with safety, local laws and industry code of conduct.
WHO YOU ARE:
•Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field.
• Minimum 8-10 years working experience in trade / channel / customer marketing position in FMCG or Consumer Health industry in Indonesia,
preferably with a multinational company. Field sales experience will be an added advantage.
• Solid understanding of CH / OTC industry. Familiar with relevant channel i.e. General Trade, Modern Trade, Medical, Ecommerce in this industry.
• Strong customer focus and interpersonal skills. Good business acumen and insights.
• Strong sense of achievement, sense of urgency to get things done; with result driven attitude.
• Strong ability to work in a team environment.
• Good command of English
